About me:

hello there. my name is mike & i'm a pretty swell guy, if i do say so myself. i was born in dallas, texas and apart from a couple of years in tyler, texas for school i've lived here my whole life. despite having an enormous amount of pride for my home state (as most texans do), i really wouldn't mind moving somewhere else to be perfectly honest with you. i've been told i have a good sense of humor, you might be able to pick up on that in various parts of this page...i hope you do, cuz i've spent a lot of time trying to make it look all pretty-like & it'd be nice to be successful in that. if there's anything i haven't touched on here that you're curious about, don't hesitate to message me or something...i'm a nice guy, i don't bite i promise!

oh! and i'm sorry if you're using something crappy like internet explorer or dial-up to view this, cuz i like pretty pictures so this page is just LOADED with 'em & it'll probably take you a hot minute to load everything...my bad lol.

Who I'd like to meet:

Brandon Flowers, Matthew Fox, Zac Efron, Josh Holloway, Bradley Cooper & Rob Pattinson would be at the very top of this list for the following reasons:

as far as females go, there's no one i'd rather meet more than the Legendary Miss Britney Spears:

oh, and if i don't already know you...i'd like to meet you too :)

first & foremost, i'm a massive nerd...i absolutely adore most comic books, but more specifically the X-Men and Marvel Comics. this adoration was officially upgraded to lifetime membership status by one of my best friends, Crystal, when she paid for me to get the X-Men logo tattooed on my wrist. what? i'd been threatening to do it for years & there's a good chance that if you're reading this you already know my nerdyness is staggering, & if not...well consider yourself forewarned lol. on that note, my 10 favorite X-Men & Marvel characters are:

    Dazzler

    Emma Frost & Cyclops

    Ms Marvel

    Rachel Grey-Summers

    Havok & Polaris

    Spider-Woman

    X-23

    Longshot

another huge interest of mine are, of course, my fabulous friends & family:

other than that...i enjoy dancing like a crazy person, looking up random crap on Wikipedia, preparing for the variety show me & Mary will never have, playing Wii, cooking (when i have directions), camping & browsing nifty internet sites.

    some favorite websites/blogs of mine:

  • Fwoosh
  • Dlisted
  • Comic Book Resources
  • Pink Is The New Blog
  • VirtualNES
  • Project Rungay

  • Oh No They Didn't!

  • Music

i can honestly say that i'm probably listening to music about 80% of my life, so it would take me a good long while to list off all of the musicians that i love. dance music is my favorite genre, and that ranges from progressive house (dave aude, stuart price) to trance (gabriel & dresden, tiesto, chris cox) to a genre i like to call the big gay remix (the freemasons, the wideboys). some of my current favorites are:
    Britney Spears

    Beyonce

    the Killers

    Kylie Minogue

    Lady GaGa

    Blake Lewis

    Black Eyed Peas

    Lily Allen

    LeToya

    R.I.P.

    THE KING

  • Movies

much like with the music section, i could probably ramble on forever about movies that i enjoy. instead let's keep it simple, some faves:

Romy & Michelle's High School Reunion

    200 Cigarettes

    The Dark Knight

    the X-Men series

    Twilight

    Spice World

    Clueless

    Monster

    Milk

  • Television

well now that i have a DVR & can watch any show i want any time...i kind of watch alot, these are the shows i currently follow:

    LOST

    Desperate Housewives

    Smallville

    Ugly Betty

    Fringe

    Private Practice

The Real Housewives of New York City

i could write an entire essay about the TV show ALIAS, one of my favorite fictional sagas (the Rambaldi prophecies! Irina Derevko! the Covenant! Sark & Lauren!, Prophet Five!) of all mediums. it was absolutely brilliant & i could watch it on an endless loop forever. given that i have an eve of Rambaldi tattoo on my back, i'll at least remember it forever lol.

some other off the air show that i love & own on DVD would be Jericho, Batman: The Animated Series, Sex & The City, Veronica Mars, The Golden Girls, Roseanne, the Nanny, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Pushing Daisies & The Osbournes. you can also usually find me laid up in bed late at night watching something crime related like Forensic Files or Murder by the Book on TruTV...i love that shit lol.

  • Books

i love reading! since i'm not gonna provide fancy pictures for this portion, i'm gonna go ahead and make a nice long list: Dispatches From The Edge by Anderson Cooper, the Twilight series (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn) by Stephenie Meyer, I'm The One That I Want by Margaret Cho, When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chödrön, Dreams From My Father & The Audacity of Hope both by Barack Obama, Illuminations from the Bhagavad Gita by Kim Waters & Chris Murray, The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum (the book is different from the film people!), Was Superman a Spy?: And Other Comic Book Legends Revealed by Brian Cronin, Complete Tales & Poems by Edgar Allan Poe, The Century by Peter Jennings & Todd Brewster, La La La by Kylie Minogue & William Baker, Uncivilized Beasts & Shameless Hellions by John F.
