Spending Time With Family and Friends, Traveling, Fitness, Hiking, Canoeing, Backpacking, Camping, Running, Reading, Music, Geocaching, Herps, Theme Parks, Computers, Writing, and Much, Much More!!
Movies
Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Mr. Saturday Night, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, Big Fish, etc... Netflix is GOOD!
Television
Don't really watch a lot of tv. But when I do, its strictly HD. Life's too short for a crappy picture!
Books
I'm almost a strictly non-fiction kinda dude. For me, there's simply too many amazing stories in our world to mandate escapism into other "realms". I particularly enjoy topics pertinent to natural areas and local Florida culture.
Author Larry Perez is a lifelong resident of Miami where he lives with his wife and two children. A graduate of Florida International University with a degree in Parks and Recreation Management, he has parlayed his education into a lengthy career in South Florida's natural areas.
For over twelve years, Larry has served as an interpreter and park ranger for both Miami-Dade County Parks and the National Park Service. During that time, he has garnered numerous awards for both his professional and personal pursuits.
Larry's writings have appeared in several publications, including Tropical Trails Magazine, Miami Family Magazine, and South Florida History Magazine.
He is the writer and producer of Everglades by Car: A Narrated Audio Tour of Everglades National Park, and the author of the Journal of Florida's Watchable Wildlife: Reptiles and Amphibians.
Larry continues his studies today as a graduate student in the FIU Department of Environmental Studies, and is currently woking on several new projects for 2008.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone with something interesting to say and a creative way to say it. Anyone who shares a passion for the outdoors, an intrigue of the past, and a vision for the future. Anyone who can laugh at themselves, chuckle at the blasphemous, and doesn't take their relatively short existence too seriously. Whether you readily crack a smile at the least provocation or you find smiles to be a monumental waste of energy, you're still my kinda people!
As far as classes go, I'm taking 17 credits and work has picked up so im getting more hours lolol other than that life is pretty boring. It's just me and my dog (the closest thing I have to a kid lol) until the holiday season starts! lol let me know when the mozzies are gone and I'll come visit you at work! lol
Miami4Obama wants to have 1,000 supporters by the end of June. Make sure to link your MySpace friends whom you know are Obama supporters so we can get there. I see a couple of yard signs and bumper stickers while driving through Miami but not nearly as many as there should be. Please go to the Obama store at www. barackobama. com to get your support packages for only a minimum contribution.
