Bio

A bit about my history: I was born in Hong Kong in 1984. I moved to Sydney Australia in 1997 and went to Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School. I graduated from there, but not with any official degree, and haven’t gone to university. I am not qualified for anything (even university) I moved to England and that is where my career bio begins: I have worked on 3 series of QI (B,C and G) as a researcher / "elf". Co-created/write/produce the BBC Radio 4 panel show Museum of Curiosity. I was the exec producer on Rhys Darby’s live DVD (which we filmed in LA) I have made a weird short Christmas movie, as exec producer again, with Ken Rusell. A new project coming soon is an short animation called the tap. Animation by Geoff Dunbar, Music production by Paul McCartney, music by James McCartney and Exec producing by Me. That, as John Hodgman so brilliantly puts it, is all. I have more stuff on the way.

Music	I am currently in two bands. Canto Pop Superstar and Uptown Sharks. Canto Pop Superstar is Chinese pop sensation. He is returning to China later this year for a small tour to promote the release of his new album: We All Be Canto Pop Superstars! Go to his myspace page and become a friend. The Uptown Sharks is my new band. The band was formed purely to battle another band called the DownTown Wolves and rock them to death. This bitter rivalry has been going on for sometime, and the 2 bands will finally meet on stage later this year. It will be messy, and there will be a finishing move and championbelt. Like WWF.
Television	My friends Jeremy and Fay make a TV show in a lounge room. It's great fun. Each episode I get a segment called "Dan's fact". This first clip has my best buddies Emma and Jeremy and Fay and Ash in it. Books	Books that I've contributed to: I was the joke collector for this book. As an Elf, I contributed a fair chunk to the Book of General Ignorance, which was Amazon's global bestselling book during Christmas a few years back. Which is odd when there's Harry Potter and things. From the Chinese edition of the Book of General Ignorance, showing a translation of the question I wrote on animals in space.
