MR|mix 22
"MR|mix" is our more-or-less official mix disc. It begins with Mr. Furious Records' most recent release, and works backwards towards older music, one song per album/EP. All are full releases and available to download and share freely from the MUSIC section of mrfuriousrecords.com.
ALL of our music is freely available to download, burn, and share - check the Myspace blog or mrfuriousrecords.com. You can read our real blog, full of musical thoughts and cobwebs, in the [blog] category at MFR.
Diverse in sound, united in a DIY aesthetic, we are committed to distributing our work freely and as widely as possible.
We are a netlabel, releasing our music freely with the generous partnership of The Internet Archive and under license through Creative Commons.

Re: "Bush Fucks America" (YouTube, below)
1. In a nation of free speech, I feel there is an appropriate place for political commentary that uses the strongest metaphors available.
2. "Doubting Thomas" is a friend, and a member of the MFR community, and I will honor his use of our comments section. I accept my role as moderator there, and will try to explain my choice.
3. I believe personally that the office of President is worthy of a degree of respect, such that I have watched "Bush Fucks America" at home but would not myself pass it on publicly or privately.
4. If the title of the video disturbs you, don't click "play." This level of commentary is nothing new in history; though most of us don't see it every day, it's part of free society.
5. "Bush Fucks America" reminds me that a video clip, no matter its contents, cannot compare to a human life. The Iraq War, regardless of its reasons or possible "success," has certainly killed 100,000 people - perhaps two or three times that many. If what amounts to a racy political cartoon can remind us of the true obscenity - needless violence - then let us see.

Totally good to find you on here man. I always stayed away from Myspace because I see "most" of my friends on a regular basis. It's kind of making me realize how many people don't live around here anymore.
And, yeah, I'll definitely check out your record. Talk to ya later. See ya in C-town sometime!
