MRI was born when Noir, an alternative hard rock band from West Palm Beach, was asked to change their name by Roadrunner Records in 2003, the label having signed a 'Noir' ( death metal band ) from Orlando.
MRI writes, records and produces all their own material. There are echoes of Alice In Chains and The Smashing Pumpkins in their musical influences, however shades of Led Zeppelin, Jane's Addiction, The Police, Rush, U2, and Pink Floyd will be evident in the songs to even the casual listener. With the success of the single and video "Helicopter Head", MRI is currently working with producer Eric Greedy on new material for the follow up to Where Parallel Lines Meet, MRI's debut studio album distributed under their own label Xyen Records. They are also recording and producing singles with renowned LoPro vocalist-frontman Pete Murray, who helped MRI produce the heavy and ominous sounding "Letters Never Sent", and is also producing a full blown techno mix of MRI's rock-electronica-dance single "You Are My HTTP". >>> Bypass iTunes fees/hassle & download free MRI mp3s HERE.

Hi! Just dropping by to say that I like You Are My HTTP a lot. It's grand like some of the old Depeche Mode songs, yet sounds so contemporary. Thanks for sharing!
I was using my drummer's silvertone sg. I use reverb and I guess the tone would be "muddy" because I did not use any pedals, but I like the way the recordings came out, like they were recorded in the 60's! I can upload these on my reverbnation sometime I'm not sure when I can do that. I'll let you know. Cloudy Weather's opening riff was originally played clean but I liked the distortion becasue of the tension the chords create when broken down. Anyways thanks for listening! I'm gonna be uploading another song soon today but it'll only be myself becasue I've really haven't practiced it yet with my drummer.
