In 1951 a Cleveland disc jockey spoke a two word phrase that would define a revolution. One word meant to shake up - the other meant to have sex - that term was rock ‘n roll. Rock ‘n Roll wasn’t simply a musical-style, this was a life-style unlike anything ever before seen or heard. Bands became religion and musicians became Gods. The 40's and 50's were the birth, the 60's and 70's witnessed Saviors, and the 80’s were a renaissance, but in the 90's rock began to lose its edge. A decline occurred and believers lost faith. So what now for the 21st century? Perhaps a revelation and a second coming.
Dynasties fall as new dynasties rise, and a new dynasty is about to begin. Enter Krishna - a Les Paul slinging, sleazy sounding, high voltage rock guitarist. He embodies the playing style and swagger of guitar heroes past. He possesses the in your face attitude and cutting edge sound that today’s world lacks. The future of rock n roll is a new revolution, a revolution that embodies the attitude and rebellion that once plagued parents decades ago, but once again unlike anything heard before. Krishna’s band is a divine army, an arsenal, a force. The band heading that revolution is Love And A .38, Krishna commands guitar heroism by delivering blows with monster leads. Screaming guitar solos and jaw dropping melodies are resurrected in new form. Water was once turned into wine, now witness Krishna turn water into whiskey. Love And A .38 is currently in the studio recording its debut album, Prepare For Glory, to be released in 2008. The onslaught is about to begin...be prepared.
From Los Angeles, Krishna is building a reputation as no nonsense, versatile musician. He has already played to multi-thousands across the U.S., including sold out shows at The House Of Blues, The Key Club, and the worlds biggest music festival, Summerfest. In 2005 Krishna took over guitar duties for punk rock icon Texas Terri (Texas Terri Bomb). After departing the group, he helped to form the vaudeville sounding acoustic rock group Devil Dust, manning the duties of lead guitarist, mandolin player, and pianist. Devil Dust is everything you would expect from a good drug from hell, minus the hangover. Users can get a fix of Devil Dust through a healthy dose of their five song EP, entitled 'Horseshoes & Handgrenades', released earlier this year. Users beware: Devil Dust is addicting.
Take a moment to think - is there more out there in the music world? Where have all the guitar heroes gone? It is time for a change, and that time is upon us. No more shall the blind lead the blind. There are no more ‘ifs’, there is only a ‘when’. The time is near…stay tuned.
