| About mr lip |
Having begun his musical journey during the lager days of big beat circa 1997, Mr Lip confesses to have grown up listening to "whatever decent music I could get my hands on". He goes on "this equates to whatever decent music found its way to the musical wasteland that is Lincolnshire". Lip soon ventured north to Newcastle where he attempted to ween the student population off drum and bass and onto something a little more groovy. Some listened, some didnt. Bygones.
Since migrating to the smoke back in 2003, Mr Lip has immersed himself in the London scene, promoting various nights in North London haunts and earning slots alongside Riton, New Young Pony Club, Mylo and Soulwax. He currently joins the dots between beats, pieces, basslines, electro-funk and "generally party records to make folk move".
Non music interests include; bagels, cereals, bananas and general breakfast fare, naps, wraps, making shit happen, people with a vibe, people with a soul, beach days, city nights, dizzy heights etc etc.

Dislikes; mayo, McDonalds, wetherspoons, carling, 'real' ale, gin, trance, funky house, bouncers, crap hand dryers (and people waiting behind you when using them), shop assistants that put coins on top of notes when you giving change, things that don't work (esp hand dryers), those anti-spam codes that even humans can't read (i HATE THAT SHIT), the phrases "i don't know my PIN number" and "Go no credit on my phone" (how old ARE you though?!)
