About me: It's all about da goodah Reggae Music mate!!!
We start from the dancehall then work our way all the way back to the beginning. If you don't understand me you need to check out one ah de blogs. I am a journalist and DJ and music publisher working in most forms of print and broadcast media. I came into the music industry back in 1990 with the weekly reggae column, ‘Ragazine’, for The Voice Newspaper in London. I’ve also written for most of the Music press in Britain including the likes of New Nation, Billboard, Pride, Music Week, NME, Untold and Music Business International. I also edited a number of titles like Ticketmania, Nexxus and On Air, and contributed to radio and TV stations in London, Gambia, Ghana, Italy and Jamaica as a pundit and DJ. I also compered parties in London, Paris and Athens for the Jamaican Athletics team in association with Puma.
In 2000 I became a Reggae Specialist for the publishers, Westbury Music ltd. By 2000 and "great" (2008) I was manager of the Reggae Catalogues and head of Copyright at the company. Their clientele includes living Legends the likes of John Holt, Bunny Lee, Winston Riley, Max Romeo and U Roy as well as current name brands like Wayne Wonder,Shaggy, T.O.K., Turbulence, Jah Cure & Kiprich. Whilst there I signed the likes of Mad Cobra, Jah Mason, Harry Toddler and Delly Ranx. I also hold down a weekly London West End DJ residency @ Moonlighting as well as Lovers Live @ D'Eclipse and am resident @ the monthly Lovers Rock Lounge (Ruby Lo's) and Labadi Nights (Manjaro). I still freelance for various publications/organisations and was recently Associate Producer on an entertainment programme called Access which broadcast on OBE TV. I also contributed a weekly feature on BBC London with Dotun Adebayo called 'Back 2 Da Future' which is where the blog and company name came from.
