The Mr. Roboto Project is a cooperatively run show space, art gallery & zine library located in Wilkinsburg (right outside the Pittsburgh city limits). We have been operating since November of 1999 and our aim is to create a comfortable and open space for people to experience a true DIY (do-it-yourself) community.
It is our desire to have bands playing or art shows at least once a week throughout the year. Most bands are in the punk/hardcore/indie rock vein, though other types of bands are welcome.
As a cooperative, the direction that the Project takes is up to its members. Monthly meetings are held where members can get together and discuss the future of the project. Members elect a five-person board to handle the day to day decisions of the Project.
The Mr. Roboto Project is located at 722 Wood St in Wilkinsburg, PA. We can be reached via public transit by taking the 61A, any 67 bus, the 71C & D, and the 501.
