Ronnie Jones è uno dei cantanti più
originali e versatili della scena musicale europea. Scoperto da
Alexis Korner negli anni 60, fece parte
dei Blues Incorporated (con
Cyril Davis, Johnny Parker,
Jack Bruce e Ginger Baker).
Dopo il servizio militare, Ronnie si unisce a
Mick Eves e a
John Mclaughlin
per formare i Nightimers, e successivamente con i
Blue Jays di Roger Dean.
Dopo lo scioglimento del gruppo Ronnie entra a far
parte dei QSet (insieme a
Chester Simon e Tony O’ Malley, noto come
KOKOMO). Negli anni 70 si trasferisce in Italia
dove arriva al successo con la canzone “Rock Your Baby” e successivamente
come attore di teatro facendo parte (con
Renato Zero,
Teo Teocoli e
Loredana Berté) del cast del musical
“Hair”. Con lo stesso cast di Hair
fa parte dello lo spettacolo teatrale

radio italiana

Radio 105,
101,
RTL e
105 Classic e subito dopo in televisione
su
Canale 5 con la trasmissione Pop Corn
(insieme ad Augusto Martelli) e con
Maurizio Costanzo (come DJ showman a
Buona Domenica). Negli anni 80 incide 4 album con
Jurgen Korduletsch (di cui uno con
Claudja Barry) grazie ai quali é entrato
nelle classifiche europee. In Canada ha raggiunto il primo posto nelle
classifiche di vendite con il singolo “Soulsister”. Gli album sono:
“Looking for action”, “Me and myself”, “Fox on the run” e
“Games” che comprende “Video Games”, sigla del programma televisivo
Pop Corn. Negli anni 90 ritorna alla musica live con la band
Blues After Dark, poi con i
Seven40 (con i quali incide l’album “The Man”) ed infine con i
Soul Syndicate con i quali si esibisce tutt’ora. In
qualità di compositore è autore di più di 200 canzoni. Le più conosciute sono
“Bambino io bambina tu” cantata da
Zucchero Fornaciari e “Let’s all
dance” per Band of Jocks. L’ultimo cd di
Ronnie è “Again”, prodotto da
Nicolosi Productions in collaborazione
con
Emilio Foglio ed al quale hanno
partecipato artisti di livello internazionale come
Steve Lukather,
Bill Evans e
Billy Cobham.
L’attività artistica di Ronnie
è in continua evoluzione. Nel 2006 inizia la collaborazione con la band svizzera
Cross Fires Band con la quale ha recentemente
registrato un CD ed un DVD live, dedicato ad uno dei suoi miti:
Ray Charles. Collabora inoltre con la
Nite Life Band di Lillo
Rogati con il grande Heggy Vezzano alla
chitarra, una band storica del blues italiano. Agli inizi del 2008 è ospite del
Mustique Blues Festival organizzato da
Basil Charles OBE e Dana
Gillespie insieme a Papa George, Zach Praher
e Carl Gustave. Sempre nel 2008 parte il progetto
"J3", insieme a Michele Fazio
al piano ed Emilio Foglio alla chitarra. Stay

Ronnie Jonesis one of the most
original and versatile singers of the european musical scene. Discovered by
Alexis Korner in the years 60, it
belonged to the Blues Incorporated (with
Cyril Davis, Johnny Parker,
Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker).
After the military service, Ronnie unites him to
Mick Eves and
John Mclaughlin to form the
Nightimerses, and subsequently with the
Blue Jays of Roger Dean.
After the breakup of the group Ronnie enters to
belong to the QSet (with
Chester Simon and Tony O' Malley, known as
KOKOMO). In the years 70 it moves him to Italy
where it reaches the success with the song "Rock Your Baby" and
subsequently as actor of theater making part (with
Renato Zero,
Teo Teocoli and
Loredana Berté) of the cast of the
musical
“Hair”. With the same cast of Hair
it belongs to the theatrical show

in the european charts. In Canada he reached the first place in the charts of
plays with the single "Soulsister". The albums were: "Looking for
action", "Me and myself", "Fox on the run" and "Games"
which included "Video Games", theme from the TV program, Pop Corn.
In the 90’s he returned to the live music scene with the band
Blues After Dark, then later with the
Seven40 (with whom he recorded the album "The
Man") and finally with the Soul Syndicate with
whom he still plays with. As a composer he is author more of 200 songs. The most
known are "Bambino io bambina tu" for
Zucchero Fornaciari and "Let's all
dance" for Band of Jocks. The last cd of
Ronnie is "Again", produced by
Nicolosi Productions in collaboration
with
Emilio Foglio and which have great
artists of international level, the likes of
Steve Lukather,
Bill Evans and
Billy Cobham.
Ronnie alway is active,
in continuous evolution. With the Cross Fires Band
of switzerland in 2006, a band of 16 musicians and singers, he recently recorded
live a DVD and CD dedicated to one of his idols: Ray
Charles. He is also collaborating with the Nite
Live Band of Lillo Rogati whit the great
guitarist Heggy Vezzano, historically known for
their blues back ground. In the beginning of 2008, he was a guest star in
Mustique Blues Festival in the West Indies
organized by Basil Charles OBE and
Dana Gillespie. He appeared with
Papa George, Zach Praher and
Carl Gustave. Which brings us to his latest project
"J3" with Michele Fazio on piano and
Emilio Foglio on guitar. So stay tuned in, there's
