Sounds Like
Mr Scott Heald - the product of listening to absolutely anything!
Mr Scott Heald is a singer/songwriter from Barnsley, with other crimes being taken into consideration. A self-confessed 'sad-muso', he creates most of his recorded input at home, utilising Myspace as a place to be heard by all the people who haven't got bored and gone to Facebook instead.
He also gigs as often as possible, with his live set comprising of whatever he thinks people will want to hear... As most Barnsley venues are quite tough, as a rule of thumb, this generally tends to be
(a) comedy folk-songs (not always the best idea in some parts of town!)
(b) his own compositions about everything in the A-Z! From the classic song themes of 'drinking' and 'screwing', to the less familiar song-themes of someone's head feeling 'like biscuit barrel full of broken biscuits', 'nuns at nidnight mass' or even 'monkey-spunk'.
(c) cover-versions of other (more famous) singer/songwriters that continue to not ever play any of his stuff!
Scott's live set is usually a lot more folky and stripped-back than his recordings as it is hard to recreate all of this without a 24-piece band (which wouldn't pay too well!)
According to one fellow musical friend he is 'a human jukebox' (He still can't fathom out why!)
According to Keith Richards "Mr Scott Heald's legend will live on long after a lot of living-legends have died!"
According to Tina Turner "He's simply the best!" (though this doesn't refer to Scott in any capacity!)
Scott loves the recording process as it allows him to showcase the bigger ideas he has floating and rattling around his head (he believes there is always space for that extra kazoo or beer-glass solo!).
He also loves gigging, but for completely opposite reasons - the chance to perform and entertain as a solo musician/clown.
As well as doing all of this, he is vocalist / geetarist / banjoist / mandolinist with 'The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican'. Past musical projects have included being the vocalist / guitarist in Laskiampari, vocalist / bassist with alternative rock 'n' roll band 'The Flux Capacitors', vocalist / guitarist in side-project 'The Last of the Independents' a tribute to the late, great, Rory Gallagher. When he isn't plotting world domination via myspace, he is also master-minding 'The Schwein Eimer Singles Project' where the public can create their own music (check the friend link).
His ambition is to one day own a planet, and never to meet a boxer from Stranraer.
