My influences come from various aspects of my growing up. Including people like Jean Michel Jarre, Madonna, Moby, DJ Rap, Fatboy slim, Talvin Singh, Rae and Christian, Orb and many, many more...
So, we're gonna start at the beginning of the story about me, Mr. Sinnister. Back in the early 90's I took an interest in music and the working of music. My first bit of software was Scream Tracker, which at the time was still in its development stages. I later progressed onto the original version of ACID Music which was a turning point on how I made music.
I took a long break in production between 2001 and 2003 where I never worked on music at all and lost touch with events surrounding the growth and development thereof. In 2005, I got my hands on Reason, which blew me away, as I never realized how much the software had developed over the years. Of course this got me back into learning more and more about the intricacies of music production. I needed to know more. The end of 2005 brought me to my first remix competition hosted by Music Industry Online. This was a turning point for me as in 2006 I joined the forums on a more full time scale, learning, observing and getting to understand music better. Since then I have developed my styles more and more.
Right, more about me, Mr. Sinnister.
My real name is Collin Scott, I hail from Pretoria, South Africa. I have a great love for the abstracts in life, such as what is my music. Not only music, but also in the art that I do as well. You see, I’m a creative mind looking to express all that is life and person. I love the countryside, the history and the beautiful coastlines that wrap their way around our country, providing us with various oceanic conditions and inland views to captivate any mind, body and spirit. My music is like my art, I’ll never do the same thing twice after each other, unless required to do so.
My musical styles vary from very ambient relaxed work to the choppy styles of Drum ‘n Bass, House to trance with a bit of twist in between. Also, I love to do my art in various forms such as digital, oils and acrylics, with pencil sketching falling in between all of these.
I hope that you enjoyed the reading and the tour through all that I do, keep the love for humanity, the earth and the powers that be.
Much love to all… Peace be within.

Yeah, I've been away from home for the last few weeks - getting my life sorted out - you know - the whole spiritual journey stuff lol. - we should all get together sometime.
btw - you remember the Emendy remix compo? - I got pissed off and left yeah? - well, they've conveniently announced the winners on their forums.
They can keep their prizes - you want them? - I'll send them to you lol :)
Ya, the myspace version has been cut and edited a bit. I do this for websites that have smaller file upload limits and also to show off the better parts of a track without the 1 min 30 intros and outros lol :)
I hear ya there on the new job thing, getting settled and back into the flow of things - it's a mission, took me ages to come up with a new track (the other recent ones were just sighters)
I really look forward to hearing some new stuff from you ;)
Just dropping by to listen to yr tunes again....enjoying Abstract World. Thats the kind of sound I used to love in the goa days - its got more melody than tunes nowadays!

Are u gonna come to the Pirates gig at Roxy's to celebrate ur b-day?? I'm on from 9:30pm to 11pm and depending whether or not I pass my sound exams I will most probably be inebriated anyway hahaha :)
Yes, i do produce, but I'm far away from creating amazing stuff like the great guys at the mo...but baby steps. I'm more into post-pro, like putting sound 2 picture and doing the general sound engineer stuff. I do play keyboard, so must of the time I'm just coming up with melodies n stuff. I'm not 2 great at beats n basslines, so will probably team up with sum1 who is!!
