BP,26, grew up in North Highlands, California.He came from a very loving and close nit family. Early into his teenager years he became rebellious, young and foolish, he followed in the way of many of his friends when many of his friends were loosing their freedom and some even their lives, BP found music knowing the status of every rapper from underground to mainstream, he was a true hop-hip head. BP, also had another love that was basketball, that dream dissipate when he had to have his left lung removed at 15. Joking around with music he discovered he had a good flow and the ability to write rhymes. Around this time he became focused on rapping. As he attend Highlands High school, He teamed up with 6 other boys and formed a group called, Money Affiliated.
He later eventuated off with SC who was then apart of Money Affiliated as well,
they together became a group called,"Sactown Reps". After putting numerous tracks that attracted locals attention.
With no album release in sight, production as a group came to a stand still. BP felt he need to go out a solo artist
In 1999, while in the studio with the late King Freako he kept calling BP "so fresh". That's how he came up
song, So Fresh. Along came the nickname, Mr. So Fresh, given to him by King Freako, just one look at his pictures or glance at him
in public we all know why he is called,Mr.So Fresh. Since the So Fresh album became highly
anticipated.
In 2000 he went into the studio with producer and long time friend H.Wood, and was featured on the Hip-Hop Comp Vol.1
Bp, continued to frequent the studios all over north California, he has been featured on mix tapes as far as Canada,
and played on the radio stations as far as Long Beach, California.
BP, since slowed down in the music aspect, within those years he had a daughter. While busy raising his daughter, he contemplated on if should keep doing music, over the late summer
of 2007 Sactown Reps, disband. BP had even came to a point were he said he was done with music all together. As a avid
supporter of West Coast music, frequent to numerous events, from local artist shows to BAR Awards.
He has continued to network with artist up and down California even reaching out to other artist in other states.
In recent months he returned to the studio, and teamed up with super producer Q (Q made the beat), He has made tracks
that have caught the attention of many, He also has been a featured artist at shows in and around Sacramento.
BP, has worked with nurmors artist like, mac dre,b-legit,hollowtip,rydah j klyde,tha ghetto starz,sumthin terrible,bueno,
dezit eaze,liq,do-it-movin and more that haven't been mentioned. With many unreleased tracks, and a new album in works.
Your sure to hear a lot more from BP, Mr. So Fresh, either he's sitting VIP at shows.
