"Steve’s poems thrill me, energise me, delight me. Truth rings crystal clear. Don’t stop Steve. Don’t stop." Pat Ingoldsby
"Stephen Smith is a ball of hydrogen gas that should be pumped into every household across the land.
He knocks seven shades of shite out of all the usual “birds and bees, whey and cheese” nonsense you
find at poetry readings. He sounds like he's walking into a forest full of energy vampires blindfolded with a lightsabre swinging in his hand, they might wound him but he ain't going down without a good fight."
All the best Jinx Lennon
"One Monday evening in the underbelly of the International bar in Dublin was
when I first came across Stephen Smith. Amid a drain of dreary, crooning
singer-songwriters, a tall confident fella stood up, head and shoulders
above the other night’s performers, chest puffed and broke into oration. What
followed was 10 minutes of fine, eloquent, REAL and brutally honest poetry.
It was rough and scrappy in places and the words flew out of his mouth 100
miles per hour. But it was original and clever and commanded the respect of
everyone in that tiny room. Since then, I've watched Stephen Smith flourish
into a fine poet and philosopher. I wish him all the best for the future and
look forward to watching his star shine loud and bright." Fiach (crooning dreary singer-songwriter)
