    Samuel Derwent Tsang aka dj Mr Tsang started djing at High school proms in Sydney Australia 1995. Originally of Chinese decent it wasn’t until first year of Architecture that he met Sahlan 78 and started putting on underground hip hop parties from the lack of student life.In 1999 Mr Tsang and S78 brought out their first international djs, the Psychonauts from the UK of the Mo wax label and then ran successful tours for the Scratch Perverts, Peanut Butter Wolf,The Runaways,dj Rip One and dj Cheapshop. Tsang released an exclusive mix tape for Sneaker Freaker Magazine featuring hip hop tracks themed around sneakers. Tsang started producing music in 2000 with dj Farj in Sydney Australia and started looking for old vinyl records around Asia specifically disco ,funk and rock records from Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and China. Most of the tracks on his album ‘Family Business’ have been created from sampling the obscure records that he found in Asia. In 2004 Tsang relocated to Shanghai and hooked up with dj V-Nutz and became a resident dj at the Back to the Roots parties and was a judge for the China DMC Championships in 2006/2007. Tsang is a resident dj on Friday nights at Volar in Shanghai near Fuxing Park, an exclusive club design by Phillipe Stark. He was also recently involved submitting an original artwork called ‘Evisu 9mm’ for the Evisu art exhibition touring around China. Currently he is a full time Architect and is part owner of an Art Gallery/event space In Sydney Australia called 72 Erskine. (www.72erskine.com) .. .. ..
