What happens when three complete morons get together during band practice? Generally, they do stupid stuff and fart on each other for pleasure, and this is particularly true for three Montreal losers who now form the sub-human entity called "Mr. Vladimir". Olivier Moutran and Pooyan Haghighat were first brought together during cegep years, some time back in the late nineties. At the time, Olivier was pounding the drums in a semi-punk rock cover band, while Pooyan was brainwashed into playing Jean Leloup covers with three long-haired musicians. One fortuned day, Olivier, Pooyan and a few of their friends decide to skip school in order to participate in an NHL 1994 tournament and they head out to Olivier's house, and this is where he learned that Pooyan played drums! And boy did he like POUNDING those sticks.... That very summer, Olivier would meet Philippe Lopez, a shy and polite, yet boyishly handsome 16 year old phenom. His talent for playing the guitar was evident, and after months of useless band practices with his other band, Olivier decides to pick up the bass from his closet, recruits Pooyan on the drums, and Phil on the guitar. Four years, the story is still being written. The band has come a long way since its inception, and both the music and the friendships continue to flourish. I get all warm inside just thinking about it.....
