I feel we are not only ready for, but NEED a Black President. Let's take up the cause to get Barack Obama elected President of these fair United States... and hope fully be able to clean up the MESS Dubya leaves behind!" I wrote the above in FULL SUPPORT of President Obama BEFORE he ever even agreed to run for office!     Here's one of my all-time favorites by my Temptin' Temptations... 'TREAT HER LIKE A LADY'! *** Here's one of my favorite scenes from the Temptations movie, where they sing 'JUST MY IMAGINATION' before Eddie Kendricks left the group because Paul Williams could no longer perform with them. The actor who plays lead singer Paul, Christian Payton, is my favorite. ENJOY! Here is my ABSOLUTE favorite scene from the movie, the ending where the actors come together and perform a tribute to the fallen Temps, 'My Girl' my all-time favorite song in the world.     Two other men I have admired greatly throughout my life are Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X - the last true great Black leaders of our time. Below find a tribute to our struggle as Black people. Make no mistake, although many feel we have come far, we as Black people still have a LONG way to go. I have personally marched several times in our victory to get Dr. Martin Luther King's Birthday declared a national holiday - I was attending Howard University at the time. Many of the images portrayed in the tribute occurred DURING my lifetime, and remain a poignant reminder of our struggle and the apparent indifference to many of the civil rights' struggles of our recent past. I am proud to have been a part of our struggle and history, but I do weep that we seem stagnant with a false sense of security today. Lest we never forget, and continue to strive.... ***** ELEANOR (MAIZEPPA SMITH) BROWN - March 19, 1911 - February 25, 2006 My GREATEST Hero was my Grandmother, Eleanor Brown, who departed this life February 25, 2006, three weeks shy of her 95th birthday.
