Carmel's Comedian Bio
|
| Bio | Carmel was born in Alabama to a very loving, military family, and as a result, travelled all over the better part of "middle" America. She and her family finally settled down once again in the historic Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Here, in this conch of a town, Carmel was able to start her early career in religious bashing, and dry prolific sarcasm. She began as a poet and theatre actor, learning early on to transform her budding, silent rage, into art. Shortly after graduating high school, Carmel immediatly left the south to the comfort of the towns people, but always kept her roots dear to her heart. She went to none else but San Francisco where she began to get on stage and hence began the long, arduous, and often exhilirating journey of Stand Up Comedy, slowly evolving into one of today’s most original acts about the South, Religion, Self Reflection, and most importantly, Emotional Disaster - that is the human self. Today Carmel divides her time between New York City and Los Angeles, further honing and developing her own unique brand of humor through writing and performing. | | Website | This is pretty much it for now folks! | | Influences | Steve Martin, My Dad, The Life Force, F. I Love jazz. Hanging out and listening live jazz is great. Also, my favorite station on the radio is this smooth jazz station: KKSF 103.7, The Wave: 94.7 - I love you!
I like most everything just as long as its not Britney Spears or any sappy 15 yearold bullshit.
