Ms. Charlie Jene', The Talk of L.A., is dedicated to delivering the very finest of blues and jazz to her audiences. In 1970 Charlie began singing professionally in Ohio, becoming the first blind female blues singer in that area.
Charlie has performed with and entertained some of our brightest stars at their weddings, parties, and other events such as the weddings of Holly Robinson and Rodney Peete; Lisa Kudrow of "Friends"; TV cast parties; the bar mitzvah of Geraldo Rivera's son; the birthday parties of former "Baywatch's" David Charvet; James Coburn; Milton Berle's 85th birthday; former Beverly Hills Mayor, Murry Pepper; and Colin Cowie, caterer to the stars, of Colin Cowie's Lifestyles; and performed at Gianni Versace's party when he launched his new fragrance, "Blond."
In February 1996, Charlie celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary during an engagement in Paris, France where she performed at the Quai Du Blues and was invited back for an encore performance. She also entertained guests at the 1996 A&M Grammy party at Chasen's of Hollywood, the 1997 Soul Train Awards after-party in Hollywood. Charlie currently performs throughout Southern California at local clubs and community events accompanied by her band, the Champion All-Stars, at such renowned night spots as Kevin Costner's Twin Palms Restaurants, the B.B. King Club, and travels to Scottdale, Arizona to perform at the Cajun House.
Charlie was a sensational hit at the huge 1998 NFL Super Bowl party in San Diego where she shared billing with the likes of Earth, Wind, and Fire!
