It is the suffering in following a Saviour who is basically unknown even amongst His "so called" own. It is the suffering in a daily death to self and constant realignment with His Spirit when we wander. It is the loneliness in standing up for what I know is right when I know I am being ridiculed and back stabbed and basically get no visible reward for. It is the injustice in seeing people advance when they cheat and steal and dying to that, because otherwise it only adds to serve the ego. It is that constant pulling down of that ego when it tries to rear it's ugly head in order to fit into the world. It is the loneliness at the time of prayer and affirming that I will follow even when the world has got a different agenda. It is the suffering in watching other "Christians" follow a different God. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY SPACE OF YOUR SCREEN IS OCCUPIED BY ADVERTISINGS? ANYWAY, WHAT ARE ADVERTISING SPACES? WHAT DO THEY REPRESENT?
Using the nine default sizes most advertisings on the web use, this project is an attempt to make those spaces visible to all in a very simple and objective way.
This project is primarily influenced by the work of Mel BOCHNER called Measurement Room.
Feel free to use the login information above to add to this profile ANYTHING you want, ANYWHERE you want. You can add text, images, videos, sounds and anything you can think about.
The idea is to build some sort of network collage from all sorts of stuff people will add to the page. At one moment the page should get more and more overloaded making it almost impossible to load.
This piece, beyond the drawing, is primarily the trace of a 20 hours performance of endurance. Because of the low quality jpeg used here, you can't see the word "endurance" wrote over and over (I estimated to 3500 the total number of "endurance" wrote). They really are there but each line is 1mm high so on low definition it's unreadable even if zooming...
