On FAITH --
Alan Watts:
Faith is a state of openness or trust. To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don't grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead you relax, and float. And the attitude of faith is the very opposite of clinging to belief, of holding on. In other words, a person who is fanatic in matters of religion, and clings to certain ideas about the nature of God and the universe, becomes a person who has no faith at all. Instead they are holding tight. But the attitude of faith is to let go, and become open to truth, whatever it might turn out to be.
Christianity along with all other theistic belief systems is the fraud of the age, it serves to detach the species from the natural world and likewise each other. It supports blind to authority. It reduces human responsibility to the effect that God controls everything and in turn awful crimes can be justified in the name of "divine pursuit". And most importantly it empowers those who know the truth but use the "myth" to manipulate and control societies

The aim of education should be to teach us rather how to think, than what to think - rather to improve our minds, so as to enable us to think for ourselves, than to load the memory with thoughts of other men.

As Nietzsche said:
"After Buddha was dead people showed his shadow for centuries afterwards in a cave,—an immense frightful shadow. God is dead: but as the human race is constituted, there will perhaps be caves for millenniums yet, in which people will show his shadow.—And we—we have still to overcome his shadow!"
