    Actually, since the writers strike, I have come to realize that I was just watching a lot of TV, just to sit my fat ass on the couch. There are a couple of shows that I really enjoy: House, Chuck, Simpsons (that one is family time with the kids), and Project Runway (Congrats Christian). The writers may have done something wonderful for a lot of us, by not writing new shows. They broke the spell that television had over a lot of us. Thank you!! Although I do blame them for all the ridiculously lame reality shows now!!

The two greatest things in the entire world for me, would have to be traveling with my family and going out for dinner and drinks with a group of my friends. There is nothing as exciting as experiencing new things through my kids eyes as we travel and there is also nothing as energizing as good food, great friends, and lots of laughter. Come out to dinner with us sometime and you'll become a lifelong friend (or we'll bitch about you the next time out... ha ha ha)!!

    hey man, you are an uncle again!  he's pure beaty!  He's an amazing child, and I'm sure he would've loved to have met you.  I finished my A/S and got scholarships and grants to go to finish my B/S.  I started those classes today.  I also just signed for a house.  I'll be a home owner, a father, a graduate, and extremely satisfied.  I really wish you were here to at least hear the news, if not tell me in your groggy sleep-like voice when you answer the phone.  It's been a rough year Mike!  Oh, and your sister is preggo again!  I'm sure she told you already.  I'll update you more as time goes on.

    Hey my nigga, I love you so much and miss you everyday. I know you are finally happy. The tattoo that we all got reminds us every day of what we have lost. It is so hard to think that you are gone... right now i am tearing up just thinking that i will never see you again. it hurts to the core, really does.... I just want to let you know that I am doing very well right now. dating a woman who absolutely adores me, her little boy is the greatest. i learned from you to take care of great kids, even if they are not blood, but that they are still family. you left too soon sir, really too soon. i dont know if it is ever going to get off ground, but we are going to do a memorial scholarship in your name, probably wont be much but atleast your name will go on helping out the kids who we all know you loved more than your life itself. as of right now i am crying like a little bitch, and i know if you were here you would ask what the fuck was wrong with me, tell me to quit being a sissy, but i cant help it. I love you so much and miss you, and think of you every time i look in the mirror. rest in eternal peace my brother.

    You know, I'm going to be a father. I have an amazing girlfriend that I was telling you about a few months before your departure. I'm probably going to have a family, not just a child. I'm going to graduate college soon with a 4.0. SCL. Your little brother had an amazing wedding, that you were supposed to be in. Things in everyone's lives appear good. Mom even has a business that might actually survive, that doesn't include a crazy pyramid scheme. We have our first black president. We have gas at a delicious price. We all have something to be thankful for this year.

    A service to celebrate Mike's life will be at noon on Friday, Aug. 22, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1747 W. Milham, Portage, with Pastor Paul Nuechterlein officiating. Friends may meet the family from 11 a.m. to noon that day at the church. Private family interment of cremains will be at a later date.
