About me: I am an artist and cinema/video/photo/grapher, a mother, a friend, but most of all, a teacher.
I teach video production to inner city/urban kids that some people like to call "at risk". But me, I don't believe in bad kids. The kids I am lucky enough to work with are hungry, eyes open, facing the world with an attitude that says "Show Me!" I am honored to learn from them every day.
I have a blog where I post ideas and links for other digital teachers http://bridgethedigital.blogspot.com/
You can see a samples of the kind of work I do at http://www.subaru.com/spanish and http://www.youtube.com/mssmittyb
I also have a company that makes videos and shoots stills for hire. We specialize in making educational and promotional videos for non-profits. http://www.communitybridgevideo.com
I am a nomad who only recently learned to settle down. I've lived all over the US and also in West Africa, the Caribbean, and Europe. Oakland, California is my home. I am proud to collaborate with other artists and always open to discussing new ideas.
