Writing poetry and stories, gaming, vodka, movies, music, reading, computers, and yes good amateur pornography.
Music
I go through phases of listening enjoyment. The recent phase has been very techno/industrial.
Generally stuff very few other people listen to. If you know what Sub-Pop is and remember those days, then I am with you. I was fortunate to live my musically formative years before alternative was "alternative." The fact that "modern rock" is now just as manufactured and oversold as Britney Spears is something I find disgusting. I listen to everything from Classical, to trance, to punk and try to hit all the stops in between, unless that stop happens to be some redneck, I looooost my caaaaaar on tha mutherfuckin rooooooad, po-dunk bar with chicken-wire windows. At that point my ears start bleeding and I start crying. It's not pretty folks. Trust me on this.
Movies
I've been big on The Last Samurai lately. Been on a decidedly sad movie bent. Anything with messages of self-sacrifice and harmony is key right now. Favorite films would have to be (in no particular order) Fight Club, Schindler's List, The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, The Blues Brothers, Red Dawn (Don't laugh, you know it rocks), the LOTR trillogy, and anything with Quentin Tarantino's fingerprints on it.
Television
TV sucks. Didn't your mother tell you this? Can anyone tell me why an entire channel is devoted to the emo crap on Lifetime but I can't get some NCAA Wrestling or Lax to watch? Anyone?
Books
Been re-reading some stuff from my childhood. Just hammered out The Hobbit again last weekend. Always had a book in my hand back then. I don't even want to venture a guess on what my mother paid to keep me in books. Had to suffer through a lit class this semester with a professor who had an affinity for "Oprah Book of the Month" material. I felt a discernable drop in testosterone. Amazingly my expert ninja writing skills paid off. Do you know how hard it is to write A+ papers on books that make you want to drink heavily? Yeah, this guy does. The reading list consisted of "The Color Purple", "Ethan Frome", "Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant", "Bitterroot Landing", and "Where the Heart Is". Feel sorry for me yet? I found myself litereally wiping the estrogen off my fingers after reading, the pages were so saturated with the stuff. Think I'll go watch some Arnold movies. Commando here I come!

About me: Okay so this was a bit outdated. It happens. Life changes by the second, and Tom has not yet implemented any code that auto-updates my life story. I just dinged 30 recently. A gross development to be certain, however I am told that 30 is the new 20. That's probably true. I still feel 20, just with 10 extra years of life's routine beatings, heartbreaks and stupid mistakes tacked on for spite.
I no longer work for LL Bean mostly because I would rather have my eyes plucked out with a dull spoon and fed to a ravenous Troll.
I am currently finishing up my Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (graduating in May) at Thomas College in Waterville, Maine; a small, close-knit school, full of students with more issues than even I have (and thats saying an awful lot).
We party a lot, and I don't drink nearly enough.
I mainly concern myself these days with harmony, reflection, a generous heaping of writing (A best-seller someday. Bet on it), meditation, World of Warcraft, trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with women these days, and the consumption of vodka. The last two often display "cause and effect."
I play a good deal of World of Warcraft on the Hellscream server. I am the proud owner of two level 60's (Rogue and a Priest). If you know who Leroy Jenkins is, why hes funny and how fucking cool it is that he made it into a Jeopardy! question, then you and I can be friends.
I love my generation, my friends, my family, and most of all my fellow geeks of all shapes and sizes.
Musically I have pretty diverse listening habits. A rather large and probably illegal mp3 collection sitting on my hard drive contains classical to punk rock and anything in between.
Anywho, anyone interested may direct questions, comments, concerns to an email (swainm@thomas.edu) or AIM (BatteryChucker75) acount near me. I have been known, from time to time, to offer sagelike advice, so it may be worth your while.

Who I'd like to meet: I'd like to punch Micheal Moore and see if he is made out of jello, or turkey gravy. I figure it is one or the other.
So I clicked on the Mobsters invite, it downloaded the app, and it put me in my own mob (of 1.) Can't figure out how to join yours...I re-clicked the invite but just end up back on my mob of one homepage. ftw
