Reverend Benjamin Calvert

Ordained in January 2002, under the leadership and direction of Reverend Dr. William H. Curtis, Rev. Calvert was promoted to Executive Minister after serving as an Assistant to the Pastor. Under his leadership, he is responsible for overseeing the daily operations. His duties include coordinating all planning, administration and scheduling of church programs, activities and special events. He also provides oversight and direction in the development of new ministry opportunities discovered in the church and the community.
Rev. Calvert's ministerial mission is to provide effective, quality leadership under the Pastor's vision by serving the congregation and the community. It is his desire to be a direct representative of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God both here at Mount Ararat and aboard. According to Rev. Calvert, "God has brought me out of the iron furnace and included me into the fellowship for the people of His inheritance. While I am amongst the fellowship of His chosen people, I seek to be used by God to bless him and the church."

Reverend Robert James

Reverend Sharon Dennard

Dean, Mount Ararat Theological Academy
Reverend Sharon Dennard is the daughter of Malcolm and Lillian Porter and a native of Buffalo, N.Y. She was licensed to preach the gospel in April 2000 and ordained in January 2002, under the leadership and direction of Reverend Dr. William H. Curtis.
Rev. Dennard lives and ministers according to the life of the apostle Paul. Being mindful of the Lord she represents, she is grateful for an opportunity to serve. Since 2001, Rev. Dennard has served as the Dean of the Mount Ararat Theological Academy. Her responsibilities include writing and developing all courses and seminars for Christian discipleship and spiritual enrichment. In addition to her duties, she also conducts leadership seminars, counsels members on martial and relational matters and is involved in Teachers Training, the Grief Response Team and preparing couples for marriage.
It is the prayer of Rev. Dennard to equip the saints of Mount Ararat Baptist Church and the community to live practical holiness and exemplify righteousness. Her passions include teaching and training with a heart tender toward marriage and family.
Rev Dennard is a 2002 graduate of Geneva College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Ministry. She and her husband, Deacon Fred Dennard, Jr. are the proud parents of Rodney, Rochelle, John, and Joelle, and have eight grandchildren

Reverend Linda B. Oliver

Minister of Special Projects
Rev. Linda B. Oliver was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA to Tom and Rev. Katherine Jones. She was licensed to preach the gospel in June of 1999. Rev. Oliver is a staff pastor at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church and is blessed to serve as the Minister of Special Projects and the Good Samaritan Volunteer Ministry.
Implemented by Rev. Oliver, the Special Projects Ministry is structured to unify all the ministries of the church and to serve as spiritual leadership for community and church events, including revivals, conferences, retreats and any special community related gatherings. Currently under development, Rev. Oliver is designing the Good Samaritan Volunteer Ministry to offer assistance to members who are experiencing financial hardship, through professional businesses and laymen who are willing to serve the body of Christ with their talents and gifts. The ministry will sow a seed back into each business by marketing them on the Mt. Ararat website as well as providing referrals to promote prosperity.
Rev. Oliver attended the University of Pittsburgh and has been trained, licensed and ordained under the tutelage of Rev. Dr. William H. Curtis. She has been chosen to fulfill a leadership role in a collaborative Initiative between the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and Mt. Ararat Baptist Church to counsel and teach techniques in grief counseling to ministries throughout the Pittsburgh area.
It is the prayer of Rev. Oliver to touch many lives with the love of Christ through preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus. Since her arrival at Mt. Ararat in 1998, Rev. Oliver has made a tremendous impact on the success of the Women’s Ministry. As a spiritual leader over the women’s ministry, she organizes Pittsburgh’s largest women’s conferences, which has touched the lives of thousands of women in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. Outside of her priestly duties at Mt. Ararat, Rev. Oliver has also been invited on various occasions to speak for special events and workshops and has consulted with other organizations to implement retreats, programs and seminars.
Rev. Oliver proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ with the power of the Holy Spirit and will go to whomever and wherever God will send her. She is known as a “prayer warrior” and an awesome anointed woman of God. She lives her life as an example of a Godly woman and follows the words of Jesus, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind.” (Matthew 22:37)
Being thankful for all things, Rev. Oliver embraces the blessings of marriage, motherhood and grandparenting. She and her husband, Darryl Charles Oliver are the proud parents of Daryl II and Marcus, and grandparents of Desiree Chantel Oliver and Jayla Marie Oliver.

Reverend Joan Prentice

Minster of New Members
Reverend Joan Prentice was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA to Mattie and Samuel Broom. She was licensed to preach the gospel in March 1994 and was ordained in October 1998.
She currently serves as the Minister to New Members and is responsible to prepare new members for membership through new member classes, baptism and right hand of fellowship. Her Pastoral responsibilities include continued education for new members through bible survey classes and topical workshops. In addition, she also handles all administrative duties involved with membership to Mount Ararat Baptist Church.
Her ministerial mission is to encourage and disciple new members so that they continue to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She also strives to see that they would be active participants in the life and ministry of the Church as they realize God's purpose in His church and their lives.
Rev. Prentice is a graduate of Carlow College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. In 2005, she received a Masters of Divinity at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
She and her husband, Marvin are the proud parents of Erica, Nikkisha, and Marvin, Jr. and have four grandchildren (DaRon, Iyana, Excel, Cassius and Truth).

Dwayne Fulton

Currently he serves as the Minister of Music/Director of Fine Arts at one of the largest church in Pittsburgh, Pa; The Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. Dwayne is an accomplished pianist, his music career stems back from the eighth grade, through high school and college. He’s covered and has studied, classical, jazz, gospel, rhythm & blues, pop, rap, rock and folk music. He understands the power of music and the heart beat of the culture, the nation, and kingdoms throughout the earth. He believes his “call” and mission is to positively impact the nations with the KINGDOM Gospel of Jesus Christ through the vehicle of music. Dwayne believes the world is longing for music that speaks to the total man; body, soul, and spirit. Such music can only come from The People of the KINGDOM!

Trini Massie

Currently the Min. of Worship at the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. William H. Curtis Senior Pastor, Trini serves full time in ministry. His direct responsibilities are the Young Adult Choir, the Praise and Worship Ministry, and the all music of the main sanctuary. Committed to the vision of the Pastor and Min. or Music, he works diligently in concert with both to make sure the dreams for the music ministry, are realized. â€..You have to be submitted to your leaders. "If you help make their dreams come true, God will cause someone else to help make yours come true!"
