The MRBA a Montana non-profit dedicated to performing, promoting, and preserving bluegrass music. Whether you are a picker or a listener, the MRBA is meant for you.
Western Montana is rich in bluegrass music and the MRBA is at the heart of the bluegrass community. With about 300 members, including some "world class" pickers, the association is active throughout the year. The MRBA hosts a one-day bluegrass festival in April featuring some of the northwest's finest bluegrass bands. We also sponsor performances by nationally and internationally known bands. To take advantage of our beautiful surroundings and fine weather, we hold a number of bluegrass campouts throughout the summer. These campouts feature some of the hottest jams around, some fine potluck meals and wonderful fellowship. They are some of our most popular activities. Finally the Association holds workshops and jams at various locations throughout the year.
MRBA members receive a bi-monthly newsletter filled with information on local and national bluegrass music activities including a calendar of local and regional bluegrass events. The newsletter is also available online.

We listed the Sparrow Show on events here because there are some great bluegrass pickers in this band. Be aware that they don't play anything like bluegrass.
