About Mike Trainor
Mike Trainor, originally of West Orange, New Jersey was always a lifelong fan of comedy. Now he’s doing it: on stage, in print and on the tube.
First taking the stage as a comic in the summer of 2003, Trainor began to make the rounds in the city’s underground scene and it wasn’t long till he was hitting the premier stages in town.
Mike’s standup was even featured in an issue of Maxim Magazine. It was a spot that led to writing for Glen Beck and College Humor.com as well as upsetting his mom.
For two years Mike co-hosted and produced “Four Quotas” for Sirius Satellite Radio. As fun as it was sitting down with comics from Jim Gaffigan to Carrot Top Trainor decided to leave the show in the summer of 06, coincidently at the exact moment it was canceled.
Today, after leaving behind a career working in local news Trainor is taking the stage full-time with the same mantra he’s had since first taking the stage: don’t hold anything back.
Trainor can currently be seen on the TruTV series “The Smoking Gun Presents”.
Mike lives in Astoria New York where he spends his free time sitting, eating and writing about himself in the third person.
