| General | Hiking, Travel, Reading, Art, Movies, Computer Games,... um... food... sleep.... | | Music | As of late, I've been listening to the new Ween album, "La Cucaracha", Frank Zappa's "Joe's Garage" album, Morcheeba's "Big Calm" album, and DJ Mark Farina's live in Japan album. Good stuff. Oh yeah, I've also been listening to "The Best of Lawrence Welk" because the cheese makes me happy. | | Movies | First of all, my number on top favorite movie of all time is "Brazil", directed by Terry Gilliam. It is such a beautiful uncompromised work of art. It's successful as a comedy, drama, action, political, romance movie. Everytime I watch it, there is some new insight that I gain from it. It exists as a wonderful commentary on contemporary life. If you have not yet seen it, I humbly suggest that you do. Okay, other movies that I really enjoy: North by Northwest, Army of Darkness, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Where Eagles Dare, Baseketball, Dawn of the Dead, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the Big Lebowski, Chinatown, Aliens, Snatch, Spaceballs, the Third Man, GlenGarry GlenRoss, Saving Private Ryan, Brotherhood of the Wolf, any James Bond movie (except "From Russia with Love" and "The World is Not Enough") and a whole bunch of other stuff that I can't think of right now. Movies are great. They truly are the influential artform of our age and I shall continue to watch many of them. | | Television | I watch television less and less. I mostly just watch local morning news, and Fox's Sunday night Animation festivus. That's about it. Don't you know that TV rots your brain? | | Books | Books are awesome. I always have too much stuff on my reading list. Right now, I'm reading "The Daring Young Man on the Flying Trapeze" which is a collection of short stories by William Saroyan. He's got a writing style that reminds me of Vonnegut and Kerouac mixed together. Good stuff! I recommend much. | | Heroes | I am proud to say that I have still yet to see a single episode of "Heroes". For that reason, I am my own hero. |
