This track. But other tracks will unfold. Muckfly likes to dance and the music that makes you dance is music he loves intensely. There's a time and a place for everything. And dance-floor time is not something to shy away from. It's a very special time.
Muckfly was invented many years ago - he was an alias, a few young friends were discussing a possible music project and having fun with the idea of creating rapper aliases, at the time mine was 'Based Muckfly' it came from nowhere, I was trying to think of the most random collection of syllables available to me - whilst capturing something quite parasitic. I imagined the freebase crack cocaine I had seen in films; the parasitic nature of a junky, along with flies all feeding from shit on the streets and in the woods around where I lived. 'Based Muckfly' fell from my mind, into and out of my mouth, and into the ears and minds of my friends.
They laughed out loud when they heard it but for a long time it was adopted as my nickname, eventually shortened to Muckfly, and more affectionately as Muckie.
I started to create music using twin tape decks and 8bit computer programs. I eventually started using Octamed on the Amiga. Now fully up and running with a PC, I use whatever I can get my hands on.
