WELCOME!
To all of our Partners in Grime, we welcome you to the 2008 Muddy Buddy Ride and Run Series! This unique trail running and biking race is sure to be fun and challenging for everyone. Both beginning athletes and experienced racers alike will have a great time along the course and through the obstacles, especially in the infamous Mud Pit! We can’t wait to see you there, so grab a buddy and prepare to Get Dirty.
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Each race features a 6-7 mile course and 5 obstacles. At the start of the race, one team member will run and one will ride the bike. At the first obstacle, the rider will drop the bike, complete the obstacle, and begin running. The runner will arrive and complete the obstacle, then find their bike and begin riding. Teams will continue trading off and leapfrogging each other through the entire course. At the end of the race, racers will crawl through the infamous Mud Pit and then cross the finish line together!
MINI MUDDY BUDDY:
Bring your child and let them get in on the action. The mini-muddy buddy offers a chance for the little ones to get impossibly muddier than they ever have before. The race will offer a short sprint over and under obstacles and through tires, before the kids enter the mud pit! Signups will be available online and on-site on race day. Space is limited.
JOIN THE PARTY!
The weekend festivities include a festival type atmosphere with sponsor booths, food, and other activities including the Redhook Beer Garden which will provide complementary beer for all participants 21 and older. Great prizes will be raffled off at the end of the awards ceremony.

American Gladiator Winner to Compete at Muddy Buddy Dallas Muddy Buddy announced today that Ally Davidson, winner of American Gladiators on August 4 on NBC will be competing in the inaugural Muddy Buddy Dallas race on October 26 at Cedar Hill State Park. Davidson won $100,000 in the August 4 Gladiators finals and is now training to win a spot as a Gladiator for the upcoming season.
Davidson, a former triathlete and runner, auditioned for American Gladiators in her veil with her husband, Jeff, on their wedding day and Davidson went on to win the 2008 season’s finale. Ally has always had a passion for fitness and sports and encourages people to join her in the upcoming Muddy Buddy race and at her fitness boot camp, Camp Gladiator, which launches this September. The next step for Davidson is to compete for a spot as a Gladiator for the next season of the show.
In order to win a spot as a Gladiator for the upcoming season, Davidson says that "I need to be in top shape and ready to overcome anything that’s thrown my way."
This is one of the reasons why Davidson is competing in the inaugural Muddy Buddy race coming to Dallas on October 26.
“There is a lot of uncertainty as to what to expect at each Muddy Buddy with the course depending on the set up of the various obstacles and weather conditions” says Brian Hasenbauer, Associate Publisher of Competitor Texas magazine.
Competitor Texas is the official magazine and media partner of Muddy Buddy and both are owned by Competitor Group Incorporated (CGI).
When learning more about the obstacles that are included in Muddy Buddy, Davidson was excited to hear that one of the obstacles is the cargo net, which is also included in several American Gladiator obstacles.
Registration for the inaugural Muddy Buddy Dallas is currently open but it is expected to sell out. Competitors can register at www. muddybuddy. com.
About Ally Davidson: Ally Davidson is married to fellow contender Jeff Davi
