Muddy Promotions is a self-organised collective made up of musicians, artists, promoters and like-minded individuals.
We are supporting the network of a collaborative and mutually supportive creative community.
We are exercising creative freedom to facilitate integration and cross-fusion of diverse disciplines, encouraging participants to gain and develop new skills and ideas.
By doing this we hope to inspire social awareness and individual empowerment to encourage a more positive, inclusive and socio-environmentally responsible society.

NEWFOUNDLAND SECRET SUMMER GATHERING
(4th, 5th, 6th September 2009)
Discover a different world… A full-on fusion of contemporary music & art set somewhere in the beautiful wilds of Wales
Featuring 4 stages of Psy-trance, Acoustic, Folk, Funk, Techno, Drum ‘n’ Bass, Jazz, Visual Arts, Literature, Spoken Word, Dancing, Performance and Smiles, hidden deep in a landscape of exquisite natural beauty, the Newfoundland Secret Summer Gathering returns for 2009.
INDIGO CHILDREN:
Beautiful progressive psy, groundbreaking psychedelic breaks and full-on banging psytrance. Handmade UV décor in a September wonderland. Yum yum.
MUDDY PROMOTIONS:
The kind of eclectic mix you find only at Muddy, with a progressive schedule ranging from acoustic folk, through a host of diverse live bands from across the country, into drum and bass under the moon.
MINDTOURS RECORDS:
Deep soulful organic techno, minimal and dubstep. Unique visuals and sounds to make you go mmmm from one of Wales’ most established family crews.
MARV & FRIENDS:
Open air jazz, ska, funk and reggae from the Radnor crew. Literature and spoken word as seasoning from a spectrum of prize winning novelists and new local wordsmiths.
Three days of camping, laughter and discovery put together by a constantly evolving collaboration of arts and music organisations from Wales, across the UK and beyond, Newfoundland is an entirely not-for-profit adventure.

Newfoundland is a progressive event: starting peacefully on Friday night with acoustic performances and minimal beats, and evolving throughout the weekend to culminate in a full-on Saturday night and Sunday climax.

We want musicians, artists, volunteers and lots of generally smiley people.
Our future depends on people with a united vision.
Muddy Promotions was set up in August 2005, its initial aim was to put on an a festival, the GrassRoots Festival, which took place on June 23-25 2006. The idea was spearheaded by a group of individuals that were frustrated by the lack of "community spirit" that seems to have engulfed the people of Peterborough for too long. As a community project, the festival was run entirely by volunteers and as a non-profit event. That meant everybody who came to the festival, paid for a ticket, including the performers, promoters, organisers & stewards.
The festival was a great success, and the events that Muddy have since put on are continuing to be enjoyed by a wide selection of our community. Muddy Promotions is should be enjoyed by anyone with the good will and inclination to get involved. This all started from nothing, no corporate or government funding, just a few friends in a room. With sheer determination, effort & nothing but positive energy, a fresh community spirit has been born. Long may a caring, self empowered, socially aware, environmentally friendly, fun loving community continue.
If you have any questions, suggestions, criticisms or can offer us any help or support then please do not hesitate to contact us. Without the involvement and enthusiasm of the people of Peterborough you would not be reading this leaflet.
