Hello, i am a person who likes to make sounds. MUDDY SUZUKI is the name i use for my personal endeavours, but i also like to hit round things for bands such as CLOWNS, RESTLESSLIST, ATARAXY and THE ELECTRIC SOFT PARADE, as and when...
New album HEAD IN THE SAND is now mixed and raring to go! All i have to do now is work out how i'm going to get it into the shops...
My second album MEETOO is available at all good download stores, thanks to the guys at DRIFT RECORDS. Here are some choice quotes from (the only) reviews thus far...
"Has to be heard to be believed. Truly inventive prog-pop of the highest order" - THOMAS WHITE (The Electric Soft Parade/Brakes/Restlesslist/Clowns etc.)
"Flitting between blissed-out ambience and frenetic psych pop freak-outs... the visceral clatter of ‘D-Punk’ sounds as riotous as a teary Television riding several Scud missiles into a cymbal factory..." - BEARDED MAGAZINE
"Andy Partridge-inflected compact prog-pop... Cardiacs-esque rollercoaster English pop being shaken vigorously, shimmering adult contemplation, glitchbeats, charging power-pop and the odd ambient soundscape... a very fine album and another testament to Drift Records as a home for artists of quality and distinction." - SWEEPING THE NATION
Here's some live footage from The Bull And Gate, Kentish Town, August 2009. Note the patently unfinished lyrics of 'Tanks For All The Enemies'...
And here's 'Chorus Tortoise' with added falsetto...
Meanwhile I have made few other albums... SCRAPE (TEN YEAR ITCH) is a collection of home recordings made between 2000-2009, comprising of various Suzuki demos and out-takes including twisted cover versions of classics by The Velvet Underground, The Beach Boys and Laurie Bennett & The Models, and i'm sure that it's worth the 45 minutes with a beer or two or whatever... UNDER THE KNIFE was completed in the latter half of 2008 - a conceptual noise piece in nine movements concerning the way the subconcious mind deals with the trauma of bodily surgery. Nice... DUCKEGGDAZE is not strictly a solo album but was put together by me prior to moving to London in 2001 and contains solo tracks, collaborations and remixes assembled in what could be perceived as a stoned semi-autobiographical montage. Even Rocky had a montage... All of these albums are available to purchase directly from myself, just send me a message and we'll sort it out.
For those who'd rather see/hear me drumming, here is footage of Clowns playing at the Budstock Free Festival in August 2009...
And here is The Electric Soft Parade playing in Munich, March 2008. Featured is the ending of Broadcast and the whole of If That's The Case Then I Don't Know...
And here are Ataraxy whipping through a version of Terminus at the Bull & Gate in October 2008...
Other bands/artists i've played with, either for one-off gigs, recording sessions or all-in wrestling include The Winter Visitors, The Voluntary Butler Scheme, Chris T-T, Jim Bob, Brakes, Abdoujaparov, Laurie Bennett And The Models, Los Grecos, Ciccone, Olivia Honey, Dead Singer, The Machine, Jazz From Hell, Arturo Bassick's Lurkers, Flowerfuckers, Cruf Et Al, Mr Klein, Leizel, The Neil Anthony Collective, The Hooleys, AJ And Thee Lovittz, Agebaby, The Dorothy Strain, Internazionale...that'll do pig.

Somebody congratulated us for the great gig at the budstockfestival and I was like: ... uhm, thanks, but I kind of don't remember having played there."
Then it dawned on me ...
We take it as a compliment, that they have mistaken us for you.
By the way, we're in London, it would be a pleasure to meet you guys!
I'm sorry! I didn't know I had ignored your request! It must have been under a name or a picture that I didn't recognize...Wow...it has been 5 years! Crazy! I am living in Mexico now in Cabo San Lucas. Are you still in London? How have you been? Tell me some stories!
