About me: BRINGING THE MUSIC OF THE DIRTY SOUTH TO THE MOUNTAIN WEST...AND VICE-VERSA...
MudFootMusic is a music organization based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We do booking, promotion, and provide general support for artists. We are more than just a booking and promotion agency. Our mission is creating & supporting a community in which local and nationally-touring musicians cooperate with music promoters and festival/event organizers to bring great live music to the people who love it. We also collaborate with other organizations to help preserve culture through music by nurturing local music scenes and using music to help and heal.
It was started by Rachel Waldrop and her family, who, displaced from New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, recognized that both New Orleans and their new home of Santa Fe had rich, musically-diverse cultures.
Born from a longing for the unique sounds of New Orleans and an appreciation of the musical culture of the SouthWest, MudFootMusic is a platform for bringing the 2 worlds together and for helping all musicians share their sounds with others....Bringing good live music to the good people who love it!
These days, MudFootMusic not only brings the music of the dirty south to the mountian west, but also vice-versa, booking and promoting a wealth of amazing bands based in both areas (AND OTHER AREAS TOO!)
