Groove-rock band including 5 members :
Chicha was at the heart of the project, writing songs and expecting forming a band
around them. He first met Jona, together they developed a rich and worked out rhythmic.
They were known by the name of ‘Muffin’ and later were joined by Odimba, Sem,
Dündar to finally turn to ‘Mister Muffin’.
Even if classified as a Groove-rock band, their music is never stilted, often revealing unexpected sides.This recording shows how important part is given to create their own sound…but it’s on stage that m.m has to be seen where they really break through and every live is like a challenge to all reticents.
Odimba: (percussion) combining traditional cuban rhythmes and psychedelic accents
of m.m. He succeeded in enriching the unity while making it more efficient. His work is bringing a real touch of freshness.
Sem: (keyboards) his approach of sounds and deep knowledges have a direct influence
on the other members. Man of many projects, he’s finding here the opportunity of
bringing the music of m.m out. His quietness and wisdom has allowed the band getting
over hard times.
Dündar: (guitar) with a funk-blues-jazz colored game, he’s playing light parts full of subtleties. His complementary work with Sem increases the melodic values of the band, pushing to more original features.
Jona: Extraterrestrial drummer which game is based on improvisation and sounds
totally unbelievable. Began the project with Chicha…they developed very specific
rhytmic unity, which gives the band strength and innovative sides.
Chicha: (bass, lead vocal) gave birth to the band…his game is an original mix of
several techniques added to a free singing. Self-taught musician, he’s giving free rein
to other members inventive parts. Making everyone’s work fit together and constantly
in search of unity.
