Muggsy's Boneyard was originally put together back in the Winter of 2001 or so. Joe and Jason are original members, while Adam and Steve came on board shortly after a few lineup changes.
Primarily a cover band for the first few years, the four members collaborated on four songs from scratch. It was at that point in time that the band decided they wanted to be more than a cover band. Muggsy's Boneyard had some creative spurts with some creative lulls in between and, as of January 2008, currently have a solid core of 12 originals. Muggsy's Boneyard combines influences of the punk, metal, rap, and modern rock genres to produce a unique & energetic sound.
Known for their driving fast paced rhythm, catchy hooks, & high energy, Muggsy's Boneyard is currently playing some local shows in the Fingerlakes and heading into the studio to continue working with Will Russell (Electric Wilburland) on production of their first CD on March 29th/30th. With a good mix of originals, old, and new covers, Muggsy's Boneyard is a local act you should definitely take the time to see when they're in your area.
We'll be in Sodus on July 12th at "37" and at the Pumphouse on August 15th... CD is forthcoming.
