you're always telling me short to the point is often the best rule in poetry and so i take a stab at it..

those nights
on your roof top,
my most vivid memories,
are of you and i,
always trying
to get closer
to the stars.

the fact that she read them is pretty impressive in itself, and i think the fact that she didnt have much to change in them is something to be really proud of. how did you get in touch with her anyway?

Aug 19 2007 3:48 AM

hey glenn,
hows are you going? whats the progress report with your books being released? are you working on anything new at the moment?
things here are pretty good, a few speed bumps we have yet to negotiate, but all in all i am pretty happy, i am going to make a real effort to get back into my writing, so i'll let you know how it goes... lets cross our fingers

Jul 31 2007 3:57 AM

yes, we had to leave bitey at home, which i was very disappointed about, although kate said she would try and find her a good home rather than take her to the pound. i would have liked to have her here, but alas the landlords weren't having it.

thats great news about the books, you'll have to let me know when i can get copies. i really have to get back into doing some writing for myself, it feels like i havent done it seriously in ages.

no, dont start the job until next week, which is good, i am still trying to sort some things out first and have some exploring to do. i went to westfield today for a look around and found this books store called borders, i think it is my new favourite place in the world. so in love with it right now.
has there been any sign of that book 'eclipse' yet by stephanie meyer? i just want to read it and cant get a date on when it comes out - very frustrating!

Jul 30 2007 5:02 AM

i heard you were getting a book published, whens that coming out?

i'll be sure to keep in touch...

Jun 27 2007 4:45 AM

thats awesome news glenn, whats it going to be called? i am very happy for you, those were a good bunch of poems too... i still want to read the ones you were working on about the lies you have told yourself though...

i think my favourite was the one about the bit of her hair growing into all of her in time. its such a beautiful sentiment, and although its short, is straight to the point and so much more cutting because of it.

May 7 2007 12:07 AM

blue velvet... hhmmm.. what can you say about that?
hows the writing going? we havent really talked much about it at breakfast lately. hows the new stuff coming along? i really ought to throw some new stuff together to show you, shouldnt i? i am getting out of the habit of writing, getting lazy...
i blame the boredom of having to work.

Mar 7 2007 10:08 PM

hey glenn,
that last poem reminded me of another one that you have written, but i cant quite my finger on which one...
work has been so boring, rainy weather makes it too easy to stay home.
racheal

Mar 6 2007 9:25 PM

i liked that last poem, i cared for it very much indeed... one day you will see my new poems... one day.
sorry i have been missing breakfast, i have had trouble getting myself sorted out early enough, damn having to start working early, it is fucking with my whole system!

Feb 7 2007 1:54 PM

short poems are the best, you get things said before they get too complicated. i will be interested to see this body of work when you are done...
did you see prison break last night? i was a bit disappointed, i dont know why, maybe i spoilt myself by watching the whole first series on one go, it has made me impatient...
as for my own writing, things have hit a wall, once again, dont know why i am surprised..
racheal

Jan 28 2007 8:42 PM

so the music has come to and end and once more it is safe to wander the streets at lunch time... did you write anything on the weekend? interesting poem about God, i'd never thought of things that way.
racheal

Jan 24 2007 7:23 PM

good afternoon, how are you enjoying the days festivities? still eating in the 'lunchroom'? i heard a very fetching version of achy breaky heart being yelled by a 12 year old girl out the front of the shop while i was on lunch... it made me think of you and kate...
racheal

Jan 24 2007 12:00 AM

i'm not at work glenn,
the country music finally got the better of me and i had to go home.
i had a headache and needed to lie down.
kate.

Jan 23 2007 6:39 PM

do some work you lazy bastard
racheal

Jan 23 2007 2:50 PM

damn stupid cats, you should have left it outside it might have found its way down to the street and a country music fan might have taken pity on it and given it a good home.
i probably should start writing at work, i always have my little ideas book with me, no one would notice if i sat and fiddled with it all day, at least i would feel like i had achieved something.
racheal

Jan 22 2007 5:08 PM

p.s - make the guerilla poets add me, you can tell them i am cool, you're in their top 4... i see you also met brietta, she's a great chick, no hillary duff, but she's awesome...
racheal

Jan 22 2007 5:05 PM

this 9-5 working crap is so boring, i have even run out of things to do on my space! how can anyone be expected to be creative these days when their minds are being turned to jelly by full time work?? this constant droning of country music is just making me want to curl up into a fetal position as well...
racheal

Jan 6 2007 11:10 PM

that was a nice poem glenn, i really should have a look through that odd box of books we have at work, i cant remember what is in it! i had all the best intentions for writing this weekend and somwewhere along the line i got side tracked, which disappoints me... anyway, i'll see you tomorrow while i'm having breakfast :)
