En 2008, MUKTA, puisant toujours ses racines dans une multitude de sources, nous revient, encore novateur avec « Invisible Worlds » son cinquième album. On y retrouve un son d'une fraîcheur, d'une sérénité et d'une pureté qu'on peine à trouver aujourd'hui. Ni vraiment Jazz, ni franchement World ou Electro, mais teinté de Soul et mâtiné de Groove. MUKTA c’est un peu tout cela, bien dosé, comme de la grande cuisine. Inspiré... Avec ce nouvel opus, MUKTA poursuit sereinement sa quête en empruntant constamment des chemins neufs, en s’inventant un folklore universel inédit où se mélangent tradition et modernité, au croisement de l’Orient et de l’Occident.En utilisant l'espace sonore à la perfection, les musiciens de MUKTA, shamans modernes et généreux, alchimistes talentueux, occupent plus que jamais une place de choix sur l'échiquier des nouvelles musiques du monde.MUKTA, avec ses compositions chatoyantes et une instrumentation originale, avait surpris les amateurs de parfums musicaux venus d’ailleurs en publiant en 1999 son premier album "Indian Sitar & World Jazz". En 2000, ont suivi deux albums : "Jade" qui poursuit une quête acoustique, et “Dancing on one's hands !” flirtant avec une esthétique “électro”. MUKTA parcourt alors le monde, donnant notamment plusieurs séries de concerts en Europe, au Moyen-Orient, en Afrique, au Canada…En 2003 le groupe se rend en Inde pour cinq semaines : une rencontre avec des musiciens indiens sera immortalisée sur l’album « Haveli ». Suivra une série de concerts salués par le public et les médias, dans quelques hauts lieux du pays : Goa, Bombay, Bangalore, Delhi et Calcutta. Avec cinq albums studio et près d'une dizaine d'année d'existence sur scène, MUKTA joue sur scène avec autant d'énergie et de passion qu'à ses débuts.

With this new record Mukta continues it's musical quest, constantly in search of new inroads,inventing an untold universal folklore where tradition and modernity blend harmoniously at the crossroads of east and west.Meaning "pearl" in language Sanskrit, Mukta is undoubtedly a group impossible to miss for the amateurs of world jazz, heritage of the fusion formerly initiated by memorable Shakti of John McLaughlin and Zakir Hussain. Precursor of "Asian Vibe", mixing India and the jazz, then innovating in a musical adventure flirting with electronic esthetics, Mukta is not easily classified and asserts a music open on the world. The band is the apostle of an unexplored sound geography and creates a fascinating universe where improvisation slips from the compositions. Several tours to the middle east, in Africa, in Canada, in Eastern Europe and in jazz festivals such as Nice, Montreux, Montreal, or the rock festival of Belfort, testify of their rich music. Mukta was nominated twice at the classic and jazz music awards: indeed they perfectly match oriental delights and occidental jazz flavours. After 5 studio albums, among which the scintillating Haveli, recorded in India and 10 years of stage performances, MUKTA keeps playing on stage with much energy and passion.
