The Muleskinner Boys is an acoustic trio formed from Aldo D' Orrico on acoustic guitar and voice, Mario D' Orrico on mandolin and second voice and Giuseppe Marino on bass. The band it is born from the passion that the two cousins have for the Bluegrass, that represents American popular music, and the folk Irish. Their repertoire spaces from the songs more classics of the bluegrass music like “Mule Skinner Blues”, from which the trio has been inspired for the name of the band, to songs pertaining to the repertoire of music Scot-Irish, the so-called “fiddle tunes”, till to arrive songs that trace the new frontiers of the bluegrass, expression of an evolution of the genre like newgrass and the Dawg Music. The exhibitions are shining, energetic, studded from solos of guitar and mandolin and parts in unison. The trio sure represents a dowel lacking in the cosentino’s musical scene, represented from the originality of the project and from the musical complexity of the genre…. On june 2009 Giuseppe Romagno enters to the Band on Dobro, inserting in the band un' other characteristic instrument of the Bluegrass.
I Muleskinner Boys sono un trio acustico formato da Aldo D’Orrico alla chitarra acustica e alla voce, Mario D'Orrico al mandolino e seconda voce e Giuseppe Marino al basso. La band nasce dalla passione che i due cugini hanno per il Bluegrass, che rappresenta la musica popolare americana, e il folk Irlandese. Il loro repertorio spazia dai brani più classici del bluegrass come “Mule Skinner Blues”, dal quale il trio si è ispirato per il nome della band, a brani appartenenti al repertorio della musica scoto-irlandese, le cosiddette “fiddle tunes”, fino ad arrivare brani che tracciano le nuove frontiere del bluegrass, espressione di un’evoluzione del genere come la newgrass o la Dawg Music. Le esibizioni sono brillanti, energiche, costellate da assoli di chitarra e mandolino e di parti all’unisono. Il trio rappresenta sicuramente un tassello mancante nello scenario musicale cosentino, rappresentato sia dall’originalità del progetto sia dalla complessità musicale del genere.... Nel giugno 2009 entra a far parte del gruppo Giuseppe Romagno alla Dobro,inserendo nella band un'altro strumento caratteristico del Bluegrass. Nel Novembre 2009, su richiesta del programma radiofonio "Origami Dangereux", in onda si Radio Ciroma, riarrangiano in stile bluegrass un noto brano di Elio e le Storie Tese, Amico Uligano, che sarà la sigla della sesta edizione del programma.
