Big Brother, American idol, CSI, Law and Order SVU, Ghost Hunters, Smallville, I'm a sucker for reality TV lol All I gotta say is thank goodness for DVR, or else I'd never get to watch my shows :)
She stands in front of you in line at the post office with the big box and the customs form.
She parks next to you at school, her car sporting the latest "Support the Troops" magnet or sticker.
She sits a couple seats down from you in class or at work, but she is too distracted to carry on a real conversation.
She carries herself with poise and elegance.
A grown woman in a young girl's body, she has dealt with more heartbreak than she could ever wish on another human being.
She's the girl with the bloodshot eyes and her cell phone always on.
She is always anticipating his phone call, and when it comes, the first thing she asks is, "How are you doing?"
She is becoming more and more selfless with every passing day, and finds herself thinking about his friends more than her own.
Every night she says a prayer for him, and thanks God for bringing her one day closer to his homecoming.
Every time she hears their song on the radio, her expression goes blank as she fights back the tears.
Sometimes the pressure is too much to handle, and she snaps, usually at the expense of the people closest to her.
The tears flow easily these days, and they seem to have no end.
The stuffed animal he sent her soaks up the tears she cries in his absence as she recounts all the days apart.
Any talk of deployments, extended tours, or re-enlistment makes her stomach tie itself in knots because she can barely handle the time and distance now.
But he will never know any of this.
He got the best training in the world to do his job, and she is expected to be Super Woman with no manual.
She knows that he needs her to be the strong one, and so she is.
Without the pay, benefits, or training, she is supposed to be just like him...Books
I Wear no uniform
No blues or Army Greens
But I am in the military in the ranks Rarely seen
I have no rank upon my shoulders
Salutes I do not give
But the military world is the place where I live
I'm not in the chain of command,
Orders I do not get
But my husband is the one who does
This I can not forget
I'm not the one who fires the weapon
Who puts my life on the line
But my job is just as tough
I'm the one left behind
My husband is a Patriot
A brave and prideful man
And the call to serve his country
Not all can understand
Behind the lines I see things
Needed to keep this country free
My husband makes the sacrifice
But so do our kids and me
I love the man I married
Soldering is his life
But I stand among the silent ranks
Known as the
Military wife

About me:
I have 3 kiddo's. My son Doug is 8, my daughter Bekah is 7, and Logan is 2. I've been married to the love of my life, Jesse, for 9 years now.
Jesse is in the Army, he's in Korea , the kids and I are patiently waiting for him to return in Colorado.
My days are spent cleaning, folding laundry, cooking hot dogs and mac n cheese, making pbnj sandwiches, reading Dr. Seuss books, giving and receiving kisses, and hugs for that matter, giving bubble baths, braiding hair, blowing bubbles, feeding the baby, changing diapers, washing diapers, and many other things. It's a glamorous life and I love every minute of it :) My family is my life, and lets face it with 2 kids so close in age, and a toddler tornado I really don't have time for anything else. Don't bring me your drama, I really don't want it!

Who I'd like to meet:
My hubby and I have been together for 12 years now. These are the pictures I have of the 2 of us from over the years.
If Your Not in Love With A Soldier
If you're not in love with a soldier, you can't know adventure. You don't know smelly gray PT uniforms that require daily washing. You can't understand green and brown camouflaged bags flooding you bedroom floor.
If you're not in love with a soldier, you can't understand the meaning of the phrase "going to the field" and the weeks you spend away from each other.
If you're not in love with a soldier, you can never imagine the hole in your heart when that phone call comes. "Honey (Mommy), I am leaving tomorrow to go overseas. I don't know how long I will be gone or exactly where I am going, but I want you to know that I love you-always!"
If you're not in love with a soldier, you don't know what it's like to say that final good-bye. You don't know what it really means to be glued to the television. You don't understand fear and you can't possibly understand the sleepless nights of endless crying wondering if you will ever see the love of your life alive again.
If you're not in love with a soldier, you can't know the immense joy, the uncontrollable smile , or the butterflies in your stomach when you see your soldier march into the family waiting area upon redeployment. You can't understand the self-control it takes to stand on the other side of the room as some higher up gives a seemingly endless welcome home speech while all the soldiers stand in formation. You don't know what it's like to have that second first kiss or what it's like to experience puppy love all over.
If you're not in love with a soldier, you can't truly understand how to make every moment count because you never know when that phone call may come again.
If you're not in love with a soldier, you can never really understand how very delicate life is!

Heather Holley Everything is fine. I am just confused about school. I am so ready to be done with school so I am just want to get my BA. Then I feel bad not getting my Masters and I know I will make more and almost be guaranteed a job if I get my MBA. Since I am taking so long for this decision all the students graduating in May have jobs already. Ahhhh. I just want someone to tell me what to do!
