Mumbo Jumbo started in Boston in 1995. We have played all over Boston and various places in New England. The seven of us met at Berklee College of Music...don't hold that against us...give us a chance we are fun!
If you remember playing at Mama Kin then you must remember playing with Vertical Horizen! We opened for them and Johnny Vegas. Jay wasn't 21 yet and they almost didn't let us play! Then we got screwed outta money...what else is new! Remember the time at the Middle East downstairs when we forgot Heather?!;0
We're lucky enough to say we played Boston's legendary "Rat", back when it was still around. Mama Kin, when it was around for, like, a minute.
Once drove all the way from Boston to Lupo's in Providence... played with an 80's-throwback-metal band (dry ice and everything)... and made something like $5.00. Total. For the whole band.
We played with Missing Joe, before they were anybody... and though I don't remember it, I'm told we played with Vertical Horizon, before they had that monster hit...
Remember the times Mumbo Jumbo and Schedule 2 shared a stage? Those were good times. Especially the last gig at the Choppin' Block when Heather puked! God bless rock and roll!!!
