MUNKIE is the alter-ago of a highly professional and talented, Leeds based,
Producer and Musician, Jason Clark. He creates music that is a sonic art-form
containing many elements of lucious layered instruments to stir the emotions and engage the mind. This truly original downtempo / melodic electronica style
music has been described as a long chilled drink containing elements of Electro,
Funk, New Wave, Psychadelia and Ska with World music to add the flavour.

Jason and Kate met at the Leeds College of Music where they were both
studying. Jason has an extensive background in music production and
composition having been a professional DJ and creating remixes for various
labels. This includes the Media Records back catalogue. Other remixes include;

MUNKIE was formed from a recording session in a Leeds studio, where Jason was producing a track and Kate was the singer. Kate, being an accomplished vocalist added depth, sex and sass to the tracks, which gave them an extra dimension. She has extensive previous experience with performing in covers bands, providing top-line vocals and teaching music.
MUNKIE are gaining recognition for their music having been nominated for Best
Electronica Albim 2006 in the JPF Awards in LA, USA. Also the track ‘Dreams
(are there)’ entered the top 50 US Billboard Unsigned Charts in 2006 through
downloads. The track “Antidote to Strychnine” reached 5 in the All-Time charts
on the Garageband website.
Looking to the future, MUNKIE are highly driven to be successful. They are
motivated by the thought of headlining at the Glastonbury Festival and a UK and
USA 1 album. Jason also wants to be involved with composing movie and
computer game soundtracks, this has already been displayed with his involvement with independent film makers and music libraries. He would also love to produce a well-known artist’s album.

On a final note Jason says, “I love making music, it’s a major part of my life and enjoy all the aspects of music production. The reason is that I like the reaction from people when they listen to what I have created whether this is positive or negative. I like to think that somehow I can make a difference to someone’s day.”
Hello how are you? I just wanted to let you know that I have just finished producing a yoga, meditation & relaxation album titled “Surrender of The Mind”
Surrender of The Mind is written for those of us who need to get away. Maybe we have had a tough day at work. Maybe we have studied hard. Maybe we need to reflect on certain events in our lives. Maybe we just need a moment to clear our minds and re-set our mental strength. No matter what the reason is, there comes a time when we all need to surrender our minds.
This album takes you on a musical journey like no other. Capturing the ancient sounds of panpipes, tabla, bells, sitar and many other ambient resonances for those who wish to achieve a higher state of consciousness, greater focus and self-awareness through yoga & meditation, or simply to accomplish a more relaxed and peaceful state of mind.

Hello all, this will be our final release of 2009, and a great way to end the year... Pinklogik asked 10 artists and friends to remix her entire "Learning To Trust Higher Frequencies" album and what an eclectic and stunningly produced work this is. Each track has its own feel, thanks to the diverse range of artists involved in the project. A shimmering journey through ambient colours, broken beats, sweet melodies, a little bit of quantum physics, and is one hell of a trip....

It was such a culture shock to have my daughter start school and for us stand in one place all year but it's been a massive healing time for everyone and just as well we did stand still considering what has been manifesting!! It may seem so very hard at times but the difficulties are the mirror for the beautiful possibilities inside of us and between us! Die Story klingt unglaublich, ist aber tatsächlich wahr: Zum ersten mal überhaupt an den Decks stand Krafty im zarten Alter von 16 Jahren bei einem DJ Contest. Eigentlich als Scherz, aber aus Spaß wurde schnell Ernst als er es auf Anhieb bis ins Finale schaffte - a born DJ !!! Kurz darauf wurde er von keinem geringeren als FATBOY SLIM entdeckt, der ihn noch heute ehrfürchtig als seinen absoluten Lieblings DJ bezeichnet. Bereits seine ersten Produktionen schlugen gleich so mächtig ein, dass sie heute zu den wenigen Klassikern gehören die wirklich jeder Breakbeat DJ in seinem Regal stehen hat. Naja, und der Rest ich Geschichte... Seine Sets sind jedes mal eine Offenbarung, das perfekte Mittel aus Elektro, Breaks, HipHop & DrumŽnŽBass und das absolute Maximum was an technischer Perfektion machbar ist !!! So steht er nun schon seit mehreren Dekaden an der Spitze einer weltweiten Bewegung... THE KING OF BREAKS!
