The south of the Netherlands have always been a good breeding ground
for heavy bands, Murder By Millions, made up by (ex) members from
Enemy Ground, Line of Defense and The Motion, combines the heavieness
and melody of thrashmetal and the energy and ferocity of hardcore.
Nowadays lots of bands mix contemperay metal with breakdowns and
moshpart, but MBM is somewhat different from that. MBM is some kind of
missing link between bands like Unearth, Mastodon, Merauder, Crowbar
and Pantera.
The band was founded in 2003 when the band released a lowbudget demo
which was given away for free at local shows. In 2004 the band got a
new line-up and recorded their second demo. In the same year the band
did a DIY tour to the Czech Republic and played on the Jera On Air
festival. Everywhere the band played live they left a overwhelming
impression with their energetic live performance.
In 2007 the band released a 3-song EP recorded by producer Tommie
Banajo (known from his work with Blind Sight and 37 Stabwoundz) which
was very enthousiastic recieved by the press. Above all Murder By Millions is a
real live-band which is renowned for their energetic appearance live
on stage and which leaves behind an overwhelming and smashing
impression to the crowd. Murder By Millions renown for its grooving
guitar players, a pushing bass, a right-in-your-face (inter)active
presentation of the vocals by singer Rob and beats that are being
brought as if an colossal machine is at work.
Next step for the band is releasing a full length album and off course
play as much as possible!!!
