Murder of Lilies makes a statement of understatement and one of overstatement. Each song is a study of contradiction between noise and serenity, beauty and repulsiveness, heaviness and levity, ecstasy and agony.
Inasmuch as they can be defined at all, they are post-punk, they are indie, they are pop, and they are darkwave. Their sound combines haunting vocals with angular, washed out guitars, swelling keyboards, and is driven by deliberate, electro beats.
Murder of Lilies are equal parts Daniel Murder (voices, guitar,synthesizers), Ryan Joseph (lead guitar), George D'Annunzio (drums), and Adam Labay (bass guitar).
