A synchronistic meeting with New Age musician Tim Wheater connected Muriel with Neale Donald Walsch, author of the 'Conversations with God' bestselling book series. She was invited to tour the U.K and Ireland with him in 2007, bringing her music to audiences at a national level. That same year she released her professional debut album 'ANGELICA' through her own label Fortuna Music, and her songs featured on a compilation album by New World Music.---
This gifted singer and musician’s music flows from the purest intention. As Muriel says, her songs are “born of a prayer” and her audiences are nourished by her music, which they invariably respond to with great depth of emotion, joy and celebration.---
From a young age she demonstrated an enthusiasm and talent for music. By her teens she excelled at the flute and could play the piano and guitar. However, her greatest passion revealed itself to be singing and her beautiful voice easily communicates this. It has consequently become her instrument of choice.---
Muriel has a strong identity of global citizenship, generated by having been born in the Netherlands to a Dutch father and French mother, and later bought up in New Zealand. This was strengthened in her early twenties by living in a spiritual community, where she was introduced to frequent meditation practice. This in turn evoked songs that expressed her connection to the Divine and her trademark song 'Sacred' was borne out of this alchemy. The song became a turning point that defined and refined her intention and capacity to bring forth inspired music to an international audience base, and she decided to move to England in response to this.---
"I love what I do" shares Muriel, "but over time I've learnt that what I'm up to is not about me. It's about giving a voice to that beautiful presence within in our everyday lives."---
Since her move to the UK, she has been recognised as an emerging talent and has recently completed a second tour of the U.K. and Germany with Neale Donald Walsch. She also sang at the world premier of the film 'The Cosmic Ordering Service' based upon the book by Barbel Mohr, who summed up Muriel's music as "simply uplifting and magical". In 2009 Muriel performed at the International Engel Kongress in Hamburg, featuring Doreen Virtue, Tom Kenyon, Diana Cooper and others, and also sang alongside James Twyman at his recent Glastonbury appearance. She is currently practicing the harp, and working on her next album.---

Hi lovely! I have been listening to Synergy in my car! yey! Just to let you know I don't know if you are about, but on the 18th Nov, I am doing a few songs at The Sun Inn, Bruton 8pm. It's an accaustic night too, but I am doing a few extra songs! Would be great if you can make it, perhaps sing some lovely songs too! Sarahcxxx
