Thy Old Murkville Forest is an ancient island that Ryan Feerer's very great grandfather stumbled upon. From his journals he's dated this mystical land back to somewhere around the 1800's. Murkville is a world with many species most of us humans have never encountered. It is a successful, trade-based community, but who they trade with is still a mystery. Every day Ryan studies the way of life on Murkville and attempts to shed light on a community that, until recently, was unnoticed by our world, even in this age of information.
Written by Ryan Feerer and Andy Smith and illustrated by Ryan Feerer, Murkville is a children's book that will be finished in the summer of 2007 (to be released later) about the adventures and observations he's had in the world of Murkville. Upon the release of the book, a soundtrack of original music written by various artists and inspired by the world of Murkville will be available. (Soundtrack due this Fall)
Until the book's release you can find not so regular blogs about Murkville by Ryan here on the Murkville Music myspace. After the book's release, www.murkville.com will be launched with a direct digital translation of not the book, but the world of Murkville itself. There you will be able to read up on the history of different species and new stories and blogs by Ryan. You'll even be able to read official press releases written by the Mayor of Murkville. Until then, sit back and watch its history unfold.
