Musashi Lethridge has been composing, performing and recording blues,ska, funk, heavy metal, punk, and jazz in the SF bay area for over twenty years. His eclectic, musical interests grew out of a rainbow of Japanese, African and Native American cultures. He is currently a member of the sf bay area ska band The Uptones. He has written 5 of their 15 tracks on the album, " Skanking Foolz Unite " Avalable at i tunes.
His approach to playing live stems from an attitude that would satisfy the old school method. When asked about the topic of modern day music, which is based heavily on the aid of computer technology, his reply,
“ …I need to draw the line between REAL live instruments and "other" kinds of instruments: A REAL live instrument cannot make a sound while unattended...gotta play it live...“
