    sept 3rd 2009,my dear friend Jay Scott,world class sax player!( played with James Brown) and countless others, and played on many, many alubms, Passed away at his home this morning in Panama City Beach,FL. He was a great friend & Loved by many!
    i personally miss him greatly! i do not have the words to express this loss.
    please take a moment to pray for his family,and his wife,Pat C Scott.
    Playing the sax for 43 years,recipient of 5 gold records-Dione Warwick,Paul Davis,Kansas,Lynyrd Synyrd,Melissa Manchester many more-1 Platinum album-"What's Your Name -Little Girl".Studio player in Atlanta Ga. until 11 years ago when he discovered the beautiful emerald coast of Florida. he taught jazz,funk,and rock styles.he enjoyed working with young people and had developed on his teaching methods throughout his career.

    Jay Scott was loved deeply by everyone!
    He will be greatly missed in this life!

    Hey there

    Thank you so much for doing what you do! It would have been such a loss had the studio been turned into condos or something dumb and commercial.

    I just want you to know that the time I spent there changed my life (and probably my major), and want you to know how thankful I am that you've dedicated your life to this piece of our history.
    Anyway, it was great hanging out there and getting to touch all the buttons! I'll be back before the year is over.
