ABOUT MUSE MUSIC: Muse Music is a live music venue/recording studio/cafe/record store in the center of Provo, Utah. Muse has gone through lots of changes since it began in January of 2002; changes in management, location, and ownership. Jake Haws took over ownership of Muse a year ago. I'm still going to college and majoring in sound recording and advertising as well as being a newly wed so it hasn't been easy. But I am very passionate about music as well as the Provo music scene so it's worth it.
CAFE: The cafe was recently finished and will be open for business 4pm-Midnight, Monday through Saturday starting January 7th. The Cafe will feature Italian Sodas, Hot Cocoa, Herbal Teas, and others drinks as well as Sandwiches, Soups, Cookies, Muffins, and other snacks!
RECENT ADDITIONS: In the past year, we've made some changes to help improve the Muse experience. Here are some of them:
We've remodeled the whole place and it's looking great!
We've built a new larger STAGE with a drum riser.
We've updated our PA SYSTEM. It's sounding great!
We've added new lighting to the stage.
We do LIVE RECORDINGS for bands for $35.
PUNCHCARDS: Come to 8 shows and the 9th is FREE!
A new PHOTOBOOTH! Only $1 for a strip of 4 black and white photos!
We make BUTTONS! Only 75 cents (Buy 2, Get 1 FREE!) We also makes buttons for bands at a rate of $35 for 100 buttons or $50 for 200 buttons!
All shows are $1 off with canned food item! (which we donate to charity).
We've reorganized the records to add additional lounging areas.
We've expanded our local and used CD selection.
Many more changes are on the way, including the long awaited cafe!
VENUE:
We have shows 3 to 4 times a week. If you are a band looking to book a show here, email us at booking@musemusiconline.com. Please include contact information including name, phone number, email, web site, description of your band, hometown, etc. We pretty much aren't booking any touring bands right now. Only locals. sorry.
RECORDING STUDIO:
We have a very nice protools based studio with rates starting at $35 an hour. Our special now is "Buy 5 hours of studio time, get the 6th free" until the end of February.
