When referring to this music I relate this CDs end result to recording artists such as; Donovan, King Crimson, Syd Barret, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, and all of the late 60s ensemble of musical and spiritual journeymen and women.
The idea for this concept album did (ultimately) originate with a deep appreciation of Donovan's HMS (children's story and nonsense poetry) album.
Also, Arnold Lobel's endearing watercolor artwork as well as the morals of his children's stories were perfectly attuned to inspiring the music on this CD, and in all respect to him I adapted a collage of his early works for the CD covers of this musical work.
This CD is merely an experimental body of work paying tribute to artists of an era where sincerity of individuality and explorative innocence influenced and inspired the musical expressions of so many artists back then, this attitude seems much less relevant in the recording industry of today.
The music and singing on these songs were merely learning how to use my recording equipment and finding my musical abilities. I will be working on experimental music, more Mushroom Tea Stories music, in the not to distant future. A second coming so to speak.
All songs written and recorded by DCB in 2005. I fully encourage experimental research into musical visions and promote artistic individuality uncompromisingly.

Adviruz is the artist psedonym of Istanbul’s Pinar Gurcan, whose growing passion for sound is translated through her music. Since an early age, she has been listening and mimicking opera singers, writing melodies, songs and poems in which she spoke her mind and reflected her soul. All of which are evident on "Nightly Sounds", an 8 track album which is the equivilent of having a glimpse into a diary, learning of love lost, gained, a snapshot of the human condition from which we can all draw experience... All of these things are developed musically into minimalistic glitch, noise, idm, experimental music and microsounds, its influences reminiscent of work by artists like Tujiko Noriko, Mira Calix, Plaid and Björk.
Adviruz and Section 27 present "Nightly Sounds", an intricately woven and rewarding musical tapestry. Available now for free download.
To celebrate our first 27 releases on Section 27 Netlabel, we proudly present to you "Sectioned", a compilation of 27 tracks, amounting to 2 hours across two discs of twisted electronic beats, discordant melodies, haunting passages, broken ambience, bending senses of time and space, microscopic glitches, pounding bass frequencies, sounds between sounds, the human voice and the audible sensation of music dissolving in acid. This is the sound of your mind's eye. This is the sound of the Sectioned... Strap yourself in and enjoy the experience.
Also features a 75 minute bonus disc "Sectioned : Nonimxs", including 9 remixes of selected Section 27 artists by Nonima and 2 original tracks created by Silent Snow and Nina Kardec using existing Nonima tracks.
Almost Tomorrow is the third full length collaboration album from Section 27 Netlabel founders Tam Ferrans and Andrew Paterson, under their Nonima & theAudiologist guise. This time around the sound is more melodic, and has a definite feeling of a complete and more mature sound than heard on the previous LP's "Dystopian Battle Hymns" and "Ceremony After Amputation". If you are familiar with their individual projects you may even be in for a slight surprise, as the tracks are not as beat driven like before, but are more atmospheric and sound, well... "bigger". In its 75 minutes, Almost Tomorrow takes you on a trip from the digital rain-soaked cavernous scraping in "Thoughtograph", the ethereal beat jittering of "The Colour of Rain", intercepted transmissions from unknown places in "Com-Intercept", "Ganzfeld"s huge yet strangely insect-like beats until everything you knew comes crashing around you in "Almost Tomorrow". Burning pianos, glitched out soundscapes and intricately programmed beatplay, this may well be their best work to date. Consider it the soundtrack to a rainy overcastday, but with just that glimmer of sunshine peeking from the clouds. "Almost Tomorrow" wears its heart on its sleeve.
Peace Sunday, June 5, 1982, Rose Bowl, no nukes - nuclear disarmament - stop nuclear madness concert - NYC - Central Park - June 12, 1982, 1,000,000 person march and rally for Nuclear Freeze. Photography and presentation by Curtis Rainbow. 'Give Peace a Chance' music by Achim Schultz. Inspiration by Yoko Ono. Dedicated to John Lennon.
One more release from our own Nonima, this time collaborating with fellow noisemaker Sonal. The sound and tone of "The Death of Youth" is quite a drastic change from what may be expected, there is some technically programmed beats and clicks aplenty yes, but it's the abundance of ambience and Sonal's heavily processed guitar work that makes this release a worthy addition to Nonima's hastily growing catalogue of releases.
Recorded one night in June as an improvised jam session between the two artists, it evolved into what we have now. Complete with some rather disturbing samples from serial killer testimonies and the brilliant "Session 9" movie by Brad Anderson, of course.
"The Death of Youth" is certainly dark and fractured stuff, perfect for headphones at 3am. Available as a *free* download from Section 27's site or from the link below. Its all in the numbers. ;)

Hi! Thanks for friendship approval! Don't forget that you can get my music for free and I still will get paid! How can it be? With gimmesound.com it's possible. They pay artists for every download out of their ad revenue. Now you can have your favorite music for free and the same time support the artist! We both gain!
from Granite Pier in Rockport! I've had a few people say the same thing to me--"That looks so familiar, but I can't quite place it." Actually, most of my stuff is shot around here. The "Haunting" video is Folly Cove, "A New Star" is Halibut Point Park. Given my budget, that's about as far as I can afford to go for location shooting!
I had to look up "The Face of Another"---looks like a pretty cool storyline. I'm not that familiar with too much Japanese stuff beyond chanbarra and sci-fi, but I should definitely explore more of that. Thanks for the kind words about "Your Brighter Day"---the samples in there come from an old Lee Van Cleef western called "Raiders of Old California". (It's in the public domain, so I think I'm OK with copyright issues!)
