Music+Arts recording studio is housed within a 1900's era limestone building (formerly housing the popular Sounds Unreel Studios) in the heart of historic mid-town Memphis. The facility was designed by David Cherry with consultation from George Augspurger and is built around an API Vision 5.1 Analog mixing console. The 48 channel all discrete desk features up to 108 inputs at mix and producers may choose between digital or analog recording.
The control room features a 5.1 PMC monitoring system and a large flat panel LCD video monitor for film and video mixing. The tracking floor is designed to facilitate live sessions with excellent lines of sight, a robust all discrete 8-channel headphone cue, three isolation rooms and an additional flat panel LCD monitor for recording to film.
Music+Arts is owned by Archer RecordsArcher Records, an independent record label and music production studio in Memphis. The label is home to an eclectic roster of recording and performing artists, having charted top ten recordings in both the Americana and Classical charts.
Archer Records is distributed through the RED/Sony retail distribution network, internationally by Proper Distribution, and via the internet through most major digital retailers and at archer-records.com. Music+Arts is available for use by other independent labels, producers and artists.
